My first experience at the Innchanter was in 2006 to celebrate my 39th birthday, it has now become my most anticipated time of the year. Upon my arrival I was immediately embraced with warmth and genuine hospitality as I unloaded from the float plane (this is a 15 min flight with Tofino Air, a must see part of the trip, some of the most specacular combination of mountains and shorelines in the world). My host, Shaun, was a man of great kindness and energic presence who's genuine mandate is to make you feel completely at home, he is a brilliant creative artist in the kitchen and enjoys the process of making your meal unforgettable. Shaun's enthusiasm is infectious when sharing his vast wisdom of the heritage and culture of the surrounding area. The experience of spending time at the Innchanter creates a space that allows you to; release and explore your inner playful child; and enjoy the romance and splendour of nature.

My magical experience continued to the anticipated Hot Springs Cove. We began with Shaun guiding (myself and other guests) by boat as we witnessed the bioluminescence chase behind us. We then set off by foot, continuing our journey through the magestic canopy of the over-growth forest, illuminated that evening by a full moon. The star filled sky welcomed us to the opening of the final destination, a roaring waterfall and three tide pools, creating a perfect evening of celebration and relaxation. A piece of paradise! This is an experience that should "never wait until tomorrow".

What a great location, would recommend this to anyone. Great that you can only get onto Innchanter by rowboat, kayak or floatplane!!
We had a great time there, unfortunatly for only 2 nights. Visit Hot Water springs after the boat trips have departed, you have them for yourself. Worth while visiting the "First Nation" village, though make an appointment first, they have a fantastic school.

We had a really wonderful stay. This really is something special. The boat, the hosts, the food, the scenery and the hot springs are all magical! Oh, and I recommend taking the floatplane ride and the whale watching boat to get there and back.

I’m going to recommend this to all my friends.

We stayed at the end of July. Arriving to the Innchanter is a bit surreal, as it is the only vessel in the small inlet of Hot Springs Cove and it is 1.5 hours by boat from Tofino. You are remote but there is a steady flow of boats and float planes during the day to bring visitors to the hot springs. The Innchanter is moored about 1/2 km from the dock. Many of the boat drivers and pilots drop by the Innchanter for a coffee, it has a real community feel.

The big bonus is once the tour boats and planes leave in the early evening, you can kayak to the dock (5 minutes) and walk to the hot springs (2km through the forest on a very well built wooden path) and have the hot springs virtually to yourself with the exception of 1 or 2 campers or other guests from the Innchanter.

People that stay here are like-minded and like to spend a bit of time talking and learning about each other around the dinner table and in the daytime explore by kayak or get a ride in the skiff to the shore where there are numerous hiking trails and beaches.

The boat itself is very comfortable and even has a wood burning fireplace (who knew!), very comfortable furniture and the most amazing private collection of books to browse through or read while you are visiting.

The rooms are cozy and actually more spacious than we expected and they are decorated in lively colors which prevent you from feeling that you are below deck! Each room has a porthole for light and fresh air.

The only small disappointment was that there was only one bathroom on board. The second bathroom was being serviced but it does exist and hopefully with be operational in the near future! The water pressure is poor so don't expect to have decent showers on board. The best option is to take biodegradeable soap with you to the hot springs and use the fresh hot water there.

The area is spectacular and even in the rain it is an excellent atmosphere with great energy and a relaxing environment to kick back, listen to the silence and connect with nature.

Breakfast and dinner were included and the bonus was that it was a late breakfast which was served when everyone was awake and ready, so there was no pressure to get up early or you miss out!!! Shaun is an excellent cook and host ..he brings out personality in everyone which makes it easy to mix and mingle and on the other hand, it was quite comfortable finding a quiet space on your own to contemplate and just "be"

Would we do it again? absolutely!!!!
