“Always an amazing stay”

First of all we would like to say the hosts, Gisele and Verne Bruhwiler are the most amazing accommodating people that make the stay so great. This incredible getaway has been our choice for over three years. There is something to be said about the incredible cabin with it's great character and very unique design with an amazing view of the sound. We have typically visited in the fall; this time was in spring, either time fires are (permitted) on the beach and they are a blast with the mountain views and the protected surroundings. The stars were amazing. This quaint location provides a solitude comforting relaxed atmosphere. You are so close to town which is a huge plus. A stroll into town is very quick, a must do to get to fine cuisine. The shower and bathroom are a energy recharging experience every time. The art work, figurines and books are also something to mention. Incredible to say the least you should definitely see those for yourself.

“Pretty cabin with lovely views.”

Fantastic wooden cabin built by the owner and his sons. We stayed for a week travelling around the area by day and sitting on the veranda in the evening. Lots of bald eagles flying around and chased by the crows; humming bird and racoon in the garden. Short walk to Tofino town or minutes in car. Cabin had everything we needed, bar a hair dryer!! The owner Verne is a real character, do ask to see his tree felling video, truly amazing.

“The Perfect spot”
Reviewed May 12, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Very comfortable cottage, with large windows overlooking the inlet. The kitchen facilities are easy to cook in, and the view spectacular. It was great to sit on the deck and watch the boats and listen to the birds. Easy to walk to the grocery store and restaurants. Great base to explore from!

“Beautiful Rustic Cabin in a secluded setting.”
Reviewed April 20, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

This is a beautiful rustic cabin in a fantastic location. Although only walking distance from Tofino it feels off-the-beaten track and secluded, with it's own view/ access to the water. It was a cosy and quaint little cabin with lots of character and had all the facilities we needed for our trip. Verne and Giselle we're very friendly and accommodating during our stay, with plenty of great advice on what to do while we were there.

“Perfect, Rustic Seclusion”
Reviewed July 6, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

My friend and I stayed at Ocean Dream for 5 nights and did not want to leave! If we'd been able to we would have added more days but there was another family coming in from Switzerland (first timers - word of mouth!!) so we had to leave. The cabin is tastefully decorated but not ostentatious. It had all the comforts one could want but if you should happen to need something or think it's missing, ask Verne when you get there - he'll provide it! The morning mists on Meares Island, the soaring eagles, the resident raven all greeted us each day with a friendly greeting. Quiet, comfort, idyllic setting. We are going back, again and again. Thanks Verne.

“Beautiful location, comfortable cabin”

We stayed for 3 nights and loved Ocean Dream. The view across Clayoquot Sound to Meares Island was beautiful, and the cabin is set close to the water among trees and shrubs so feels very private (although there are other houses close by). The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. The kitchen is small but has the basic equipment needed for cooking in, and there is a gas grill on the deck. Verne and Gisele were friendly and helpful, and the whole experience was very relaxed. Ocean Dream made a good base for our first visit to Tofino - we could walk to town but were away from the bustle.
