Talk about a peaceful paradise right on the Pacific Ocean. We have visited and stayed a few times at this wonderful place hidden away from the main road. Every time, the staff have been courteous and engaging. Each cabin we have stayed in, is so cozy with it marine decor of whites and blue hues. The cabins have a living/dining area with a kitchen, a bathroom and two or more bedrooms, one thats in a loft. The beds are firm yet soft with a comforter you could wrap yourself in.
A person could take the time to enjoy the serenity this lodge has to offer or head to the main lodge where a "real" crackling fire may await you. There is always coffee, tea and hot chocolate waiting with cozy chairs and tables looking out at the pacific ocean. Each time we have stayed, the ocean has been dead calm and pristine clear, which is unreal for us. We are from Oregon and the ocean is never calm! There is a wrap around deck, boots, umbrellas, rain jackets in the lobby if needed and trails down to their private beach. Its a real treat to be able to walk when the tide is out so you can walk around the rocks below Middle Beach Lodge.

Their breakfast buffets and fantastic dinner feasts are something to reckon with. The mornings start off with homemade muffins, granola, fruits and other cereals a kid could love, plus their juice, coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar. I love the halibut or crab dinners accompained with organic salads, veggies, homemade breads, and homemade desserts. The sunsets from this establishment are surreal.
To me, this is Tofino. Beauty surrounds you, serenity awaits you and you really do get to relax as you vacation here. This is one place not to miss, your heart and mind will yearn to go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a cabin with a view of the ocean. They also have an area for adults only, if you choose to...

This lodge is by far our choice for a relaxing stay in Tofino.
We have stayed here twice over Thanksgiving to get away from the traditional turkey dinner. Both times were wonderful. Our room was upstairs in the lodge, it was very comfortable. Downstairs a large day room with couches, a large fireplace and plenty of windows to enjoy the ocean create a wonderful place to read a book or just relax with a glass of wine or a hot tea.
We last stayed here in November of 2009 (forgot to review).
This is a place to really kick back and get away from it all. Highly recommended.

This is a great place to come to relax in front of the fire in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine. We walked on the beach, soaked in the fabulous bathtub, read and played games. The help-yourselves breakfast, boots, raincoats etc are great little touches. The staff was always friendly and helpful. And yes, the hardwood floor in our room is a little worn and the bedroom is a bit small in terms of nowhere to put your luggage, and the reading lamps in the bedroom are a bit dim. But if you're coming here for 5 star elegance, you're missing the idea. This place is about tranquility.

We have been to Tofino and Ucluelet a few times and this ranks as the best stay at a hotel. Great location, great and friendly staff, love the breakfast and the dinners - awesome time for all - two adults and two children (13 & 16).
Some much to say - raincoats and boots available, cocktails in the lounge before and after dinner, cinnamon buns for the early risers and great dinnerson site. Dog friendly, board games and even wifi rounded out our stay.

We went to sleep each night to the sound of the ocean, it was mild enough to leave the windows open, and it felt like heaven. Most rooms face the ocean, and although very comfortable, I would say it is time for a bit of a makeover. The decor is looking a little tired, and the kitchen area looked like something out of an RV! The hotel offers breakfast, and it was very nice with fresh baked goods, yogurt, cereal, juice, eggs, tea/coffee. You can opt in for the evening dinner if you want, but we were a little disappointed by the atmosphere - there is no real host and it felt like everyone was walking on tiptoes and didn't want to talk. The food was OK, more like home-cooked instead of restaurant quality. And it seems to be buffet style, so you just help yourself. You must be present by 7pm otherwise they call you and get upset if you're late!!! If you just want a really relaxing, quiet, fairly comfortable place, then this could be it. But if you want real luxury with tip-top service, you might try someplace else.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite on the top floor, otherwise you will hear the people above you.

I am a frequent visitor to Tofino and have settled on the Middle Beach Lodge as my default place to stay. I have stayed there many times over the years.

My family and I always stay at a cabin and thus can not comment on the rooms.

The cabins are a short walk from two excellent beaches and have a hot tub on the deck for relaxing afterward. Each has a small kitchenette.

The town of Tofino can be easily reached by 20 minute bicycle along the trail beside the highway. The Botanical Garden is a short walk away.

My kids love the cabins with a sleeping loft. My wife and I enjoy the view from the balcony while the kids are getting off to sleep.

The great room breakfasts and dinners are fantastic for those days when we do not feel like cooking in the cabin or going out to dinner. The menu is fixed but with sufficient variety, but we were always able to get an alternate dish for the kids when the night's main was not going to be to their liking. The quality of the food was very good, particularly when it featured local seafood.

What an incredible setting for the wedding we attended. There were sixty guests so we took over one section and it was so great to have everyone there together. The staff were extremely helpful and catered to everyone's needs. The breakfast was fantastic, the views gorgeous, and the rooms rustic but spotless.
