We were married at the Long Beach Lodge on Sept 16th, 2012 and we cannot begin to express how amazing our experience was there. The location, accommodations, cuisine and the fabulous staff made our stay and our wedding truly unforgettable.

Caitlin, the LBL wedding coordinator, is such a gem. She answered our countless emails/questions leading up to the wedding day with efficiency and professionalism and totally took care of every little detail on the actual day. Our servers/bartenders for our event, Mike and Jesse, made our event even better. They were super professional and gave us such amazing service...our guests were so impressed and have since mentioned how awesome these two guys are and the exceptional level of service they provided. Our expectations were beyond exceeded and these three people have a major part in that.

As for the accommodations - fabulous! Most of our guests stayed in the cottages and we heard nothing but rave reviews. They loved the amount of space, private hot tub, access to a full kitchen (the BBQ was a big hit too), and the retreat-like vibe of the cottages. We stayed in one of the Deluxe Beach Front (pet friendly) rooms and loved the convenience to the beach and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean every night....so magical.

The food - again lovely. The halibut and rib eye that we had for the wedding meal were cooked perfectly...we had some foodies and a chef among our guests and they all were very happy with the meal and mentioned the proteins were cooked extremely well. The chef was super accommodating with our wedding menu and even created an extra course as per our request. We did dine in the Great Room on two other occasions during our stay and thought the food was amazing...we appreciated the sushi chef and menu...delicious!

We are so thankful to the Long Beach Lodge Resort for the truly incredible experience. Obviously we will be back!

Thank you for your very detailed review, I am delighted your wedding was so wonderful. Congratulations! Best wishes for the future and hopefully you will return for an anniversary, many couples do. Last week there were two couples, each married at the Lodge and back to celebrate their tenth anniversary's.

I love this place.
Staff keep getting sharper!
Mike and Mike and Taruk (Names may be incorrect as the later part of the evenings were more fun, than detail oriented.....if you know what I mean) in the dining room and lounge were a very enjoyable
combination of West Coast chill and youthful energy complete with
full food,wine and spirits knowledge.

I checked in, in about 3minutes flat and my room was impeccably clean!

The only critique I will offer in this review will be focused on the breakfast buffet.
---I call it the "Bread Buffet", as it offers extensive options of starch and very little fruit.
---Maybe a chaffing dish or two of something more nuerishing or if I had my way, there
would be an omelette station...........hey it's not MY money...LOL

----oh, and the internet signal was too slow or weak to use....that could be improved
as well...........(some of us pretend to get some work done up there.....no really it's true...)

All in all...................LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED

Thank you for your very positive review and good suggestions. The internet service is, by far, our biggest criticism; part of the problem is our remote location, but there are other issues as well. We are hoping that by Christmas we can have these problems resolved, so that we can offer much better connections and speed.
We are also working to improve our buffet, less baking and more fruit. As you are aware, we do offer hot breakfasts at reasonable prices.
Thank you for being such a regular guest, we look forward to your next visit. Please feel free to contact me anytime.

Our stay at Long beach Lodge was an exceptional experience. The staff were friendly and courteous. The food was excellent and the views from the room were stunning! This was our 7th. or 8th visit to Long Beach and our second stay at Long Beach Lodge. From this day forward when we visit Long Beach we will always stay at Long Beach Lodge.

Our room had an amazing view of the sea and whilst we were there we had fantastic weather and waves - the surf was amazing. Staff were very friendly and the room very comfortable, we would definitely go back if we were planning another Tofino trip.

Relax in its friendly and warm services; enjoy the beautiful sunset. What a wonderful cuisine. Everything is not only "just right" but "just perfect"! Oh, don't forget its hot pool and sauna; just go immersing yourself in the pool at the night time ... I must mention its tasty sushi: beef on the top with shrimp inside balanced. It is so inviting! Never leaving this resort without trying its sushi! My first time experience in this resort is so rememberable.

I rarely stay in luxury resorts so this was a real treat. Treats should be something special; and this really was.

We (me, my partner and our two-year-old) were guests at a wedding at Long Beach Lodge so we got a special rate. We stayed in a room with a 'partial beach view', which meant that if you stood by the patio doors you could see the beach and the sea. The patio gave us direct access to the path down to the beach, and also to a paved area with lounge chairs for hotel guests.

The room was very large, with armchairs and a fireplace, a very nice big bed, plenty of closet space (with complimentary raincoats and umbrellas for the rainy season!), and a large bathroom complete with heated stone floor, a lovely big shower, and a jet tub.

The beach is just perfect. It was the seventh beach of our week-long holiday, so we considered ourselves beach connoisseurs by this point, but this one blew me away. It has expanses of sand; safe paddling; beachcombing; surf (and surfers); and picturesque rocky headlands. It's prone to sea mists in the morning, which are chilly but very atmospheric and beautiful.

The staff were all, every single one of them, friendly and helpful. They were charming to my daughter; very sweet about the mess we made of our room (housekeeping put my daughter's stuffed animals on a blanket on the bed); informative and polite. At reception you can borrow beach toys including buckets and spades at no extra charge.

We ate breakfast in the Great Room twice - what a feast! So much choice, and all of it delicious, with a good range of healthy and unhealthy options, and plenty of juice, milk, coffee and all sorts of tea. We had lunch there too, when it was a little quieter and we took our time, enjoying the view (and the crayons). The picture windows really live up to their name. The food was really delicious and the children's menu was more varied than usual.

I wish I could have stayed much longer.

The lodge is located on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to, and the views from our hotel room were stunning. The staff were all pleasant and really helpful, and we had some amazing meals in the lodge dining room (with spectacular views as well). Our waiter Chris and the food were so wonderful that we actually had dinner at the lodge two nights in a row, instead of going into town for dinner as planned. We were sad to leave, but will be back.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room with a balcony facing the ocean.
