RedCan Gourmet was recommended by my Whale Watching Guide and after trying one of the great Sandwiches ( Wild Salmon plus Beet salad ) I must admit that tis Spot is simply great. They are known as a brilliant caterer but are open during daytime for any kind of lunch and dinner. All is made of local food. It's not recommended to have a romantic Dinner there but that's not intended. And bring some time and you will enjoy the great chats with the Chefs.

We followed a trip Advisor recommendation to the Red Can and I'm so pleased that we found it. A bit off the beaten path in an industrial area, but marvellous food and excellent value. My mother has a serious food allergy which was easily accommodated by the chef. The seafood chowder served with freshly baked bread was delicious as were all the dishes we tried. An imaginative menu and an unexpected find in Tofino. Two enthusiastic thumbs Up!

We went to RedCan today for lunch on our first full day of vacation in Tofino. I'm glad we went there on day one because we will definitely be going back.
The food was fresh, tasted wonderful and was a terrific value.
Cummin scented seafood chowder - not too rich, lots of seafood-the broth was perfect, just the right amount of cummin.
Turkey and brie sandwich -wonderful fresh baked roll, turkey was moist and delicious, fresh lettuce and tomato - I'd have it again in a heartbeat
Pulled Pork sandwich -rich and saucey, a great value, could easily feed two people.
This is first class food at a very reasonable price. We brought it back to our room and sat watching the waves while we feasted on a great meal from RedCan.

We feasted on seafood chowder, salmon with polenta, big green salads, and an amazing piece of carrot cake. The best meal we've had in a long time. We both highly recommend Red Can Gourmet.

We had RedCan twice during our 5 day stay in Tofino. One day, for lunch we had sandwiches which were some of the best we've ever had (roasted vegetable and turkey brie). The bread was freshly baked and they use plenty of local, fresh ingredients. Prices here are reasonable as well.

On another night we had a vegetarian pizza and incredibly tasty carrot cake. We took their suggestion and paired our food with some beer from the Tofino Brewing Co. just up the street.

Highly recommend the carrot cake!

The folks here are friendly and make great food. This was one of our favourite spots in Tofino. They have a couple picnic tables out front -- but you can take the food anywhere to go (we got caught up on the U.S. Open while we ate).
