This is my third stay at this amazing hotel! Once you have stayed here, no other hotel will ever meet your expectations. The rooms are spacious, contemporary and beautifully decorated in a rustic-elegant style. The views from the room's picture window is outstanding, looking through the forest out to the ocean. The room is equipped with a large TV that disappears out of sight when you aren't using it and a great music system. There is rain gear provided so you can walk in the rain on the beach so don't worry about packing that! Of course, the beach is right behind the property accessible by walking out the back doors. There is gorgeous art displayed all across the two buildings in this property - the hotel itself is like an art gallery of very high quality. The staff is welcoming, friendly and very helpful. I only wish I could be a permanent resident at this hotel. I will keep coming back as often as time permits!! It's no wonder that this hotel has been awarded the Relais Chateaux designation.

Room Tip: I like the beach building.

Recently I took my Mom to the Wickaninnish Inn for a getaway. Every detail from the rooms, to the service, to the food, to the staff, to the extraordinary view were phenomenal. The Inn was not aware of my travel blog and the extraordinary service we received could be expected by each and every guest.

My partner and I have stayed here three times in the past two years, and every time we arrive we wonder why we ever stay anywhere else. I have never felt more relaxed and welcomed at any other establishment. The people who work at the Wickaninnish Inn don't just act like staff, but like friends. Everyone from the welcome staff, to the kitchen, to Mr. McDiarmid himself is polite, friendly, and welcoming. I have never met hotel staff who are so eager to ensure the highest quality experience for their guests. The kitchen has never had any problems accommodating my partner's dietary restrictions while still preparing memorable, innovative, and delicious food.

The rooms and views have no comparison. We have stayed in both the beach and pointe buildings. The Beach building is newer and have larger bathrooms which is better for couples, but the views from the point building are superior. Both buildings are spectacular and we were extremely impressed with both of our rooms.

We'd like to thank Jorge, Julie, Davis, and Jason for repeatedly making our stays truly exceptional. We look forward to our next visit! - Marc & Sarah

We may be a bit biased, as we've been coming to the Wick at least once a year if not more for the past 15 years.

We've been to over 45 different countries and the Wick always stands out as one of the best. Not just for the hotel, but also the location. We've seen many changes over the years and just when we think it can't get any better, it does.

Our favorite is the "original building". It's smaller, limited to adults only and has the best views of the ocean. We've always stayed in Room 101, all but one year when they were doing renovations. It's an end room, that's extra large and has plenty of room to spread out. At the end of the hallway, it's also very quiet and has an easy access exit door, right outside the room.

With the rooms remodeled in 2012, everything is updated and new. TVs hideaway with a touch into the dresser. Rooms are modern, with still a touch of rustic. Every room has a deck facing the ocean. Fireplaces in every room keep you plenty warm during any time of year.

Bathrooms have a large soaking tub with a large picture window facing the ocean. Since the building literally sits right above the water, privacy is not an issue here. Our only uber minor complaint is that the showers are a bit small.

Service here is always perfect. Your wish is their command. They'll help you with anything you need in Tofino itself or around the area.

If you love rain, this is your place. Tofino is one of the rainiest places in North America. The Wick supplies you with Helly Hansen rain gear, including boots and umbrellas, so you can walk down Chestermann Beach during any time.

Again, we're biased, but Charles and his staff make you feel like you're at home when you're here. The best time to visit is in the off season (non-summer).

And, let's not forget the Ancient Cedars Spa. Small, but the treatments here are fantastic.

Room Tip: End rooms are the best in the original building.

We had a 3rd floor room with a deck, fireplace, and a soaking tub that looked out over the bay. I didn't see the inside of any of the other rooms but just looking at the windows from the outside, it seems like they all have nice views and that I would have been happy with any of them. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning and see the clouds, the sand and the surf. The room was super comfortable, with plenty of space, cushioned chairs, tables, desk, and heated bath floor, The staff at the hotel were wonderful. If there was anything we needed or wanted, they were there to help. It was two days of heaven, worth driving over the passes in a snow storm to get to... and, once there, warm enough to set out on the deck in only a sweater.

My husband,6 month old baby, pug, and I stayed at the wick right before valentines day as they offered a great mid week deal for local residents. We were blown away by the following things:

The awesome doorman and check in staff who let us check in early and did it so invitingly!

Our room was set up with a crib and cozy quilt for our baby and dog bed and toys for our pug! Thank you as that made us ALL feel welcome.

The room service from the point restaurant was phenomenal! We ate the scallop dish and the club sandwich was to die for. We also ordered breakfast which was top notch!

Upon checking out the staff and doormen again were so gracious and personable!

Its really all the little things and superb personell that work here that make it a memorable place to stay.

We appreciate the quality and service also extends to locals.

Now only if they extend the local rate throughout the year!!!

My wife and I recently spent three nights in room 309 in the Pointe Building as a delayed celebration of a milestone anniversary and in a desire to do some winter storm watching without getting too cold or wet in the process.

The stay at the Inn exceeded our expectations in every regard. The views from the room were exceptional in all directions. The fireplace created warmth to balance the stormy outside. The nightly turndown service included inserting CD's in the Bose player, creating a nice touch upon returning to the room. The room is spacious and well equipped. Perhaps a sitting area to put on / take off shoes before / after a walk on nearby Chesterman Beach is the only feature missing from an otherwise exceptional / excellent room.

Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Joseph at check in and Joel at the Driftwood Cafe on Wednesday were both exceptionally professional and competent. Joel dealt with an extremely busy situation in a very cool, professional manner.

We really enjoyed our meals in the Pointe Restaurant, particularly our breakfasts. The restaurant does not open until 8:00 am, but at least in midweek / midwinter was extremely uncrowded. That helped get personal, friendly service, no doubt. However, even absent that, the food was excellent.

I appreciated as well staying at a luxury resort that did not "nickel and dime" its guests, instead offering complimentary valet parking and complimentary in-room wi-fi.

A highlight of our stay was our daily walks on Chesterman Beach. There is easy access from the hotel and one can walk well over a mile to the east of the hotel along the beach.
