We had heard about the location on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, and the dramatic scenery of the waves, rocks and towering old growth Orestes, as well as the quality of the food. However everything far exceeded our expectations. We had some of the freshest oysters and salmon and halibut ever, beautifully prepared. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating, and yet the service was very discrete.

Room Tip: We were in the top floor on the side facing west over looking the Secret Cove. The view of the waves...

My wife and I stayed here in the late 90s and were hoping that it was still as good as before. We were not disappointed because it was somehow even better on this visit. We had an absolutely wonderful four night stay here last week. The views and the grounds are soooo very beautiful and serene. You can't help but relax. The staff is soooo very helpful and welcoming. They make you feel like you are family. The food and service at their Pointe Restaurant is first rate. Jason--our waiter--was without a doubt the best we have ever encountered in all of our travels around the world. He should be the trainer/role model/mentor for all aspiring waiters/waitresses. We HIGHLY recommend this inn to all travelers.

Room Tip: We suggest a room on the third floor with a southern view. The views and ocean sounds from here are...

We stayed for three nights in early May 2013 in a Pointe South Deluxe room on the third floor. It was lovely. Fantastic view -- including fly-bys by the two bald eagles who seem to live at the property. It is so quiet and relaxing here. Opened the balcony door and were lulled to sleep by the sound of ocean waves. We enjoyed the in-room fireplace and cozy chairs, snuggling up to read each day. Luxurious comfy bed and beautiful bathroom, too.

Lobby areas have gorgeous views as does the library in the Beach building.

The service is terrific. Stefan on the concierge team booked bear-watching and whale-watching trips for us in advance of our arrival. Every restaurant recommendation in Tofino lived up to the billing (the food is surprisingly good in town).

The Pointe Restaurant was worth the experience. The menu is inventive and delicious. Service is paced well -- not too slow, not too rushed -- and impeccable.

The drive from Victoria is easy and beautiful.

Tofino and the Wickaninnish Inn are little gems. Don't miss out on them.

Room Tip: Each room has a private view. Room 310 -- Pointe South Deluxe -- had the view you see on the websit...

You are definitely paying for the view here, which is stunning by the way. The accommodation is modern and nice but there are no added personal touches here unless there is a charge. For example, the steam room and group yoga are available at a charge which for the cost of a room in this bracket is generally included in other comparable places. Restaurant has a great location and like almost everywhere we visited in Canada the people are delightful and service quality is high. The complimentary weather proofs are invaluable in this environment for travellers with limited luggage space.

We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2013. The Inn is beautiful , the setting is amazing, and the staff is cheerful and very helpful. The service is great. The room we stayed in was beautiful and so quiet. I never heard another guest or even a shower running or water running in pipes like you can here. All we could here was the surf. We could leave the balcony open at night and listen to the surf all night.

The furnishings were comfy and rustic with a driftwood chair for the desk that was actually pretty comfortable. The WiFi worked well, too. Lots of slate tiles and wood everywhere. Very attractive.
The bed was really comfortable, too. We slept really well.

This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Both my husband and I loved it. We would absolutely stay here again. We stayed in the Pointe Building looking south at the rocks and beach. There is also a Beach building and it was lovely too. As far as I can see, the difference is the Pointe Building is sitting a little higher up above the rocks at the beach and you can get rooms that look south at the rocks and beach or west at the ocean, while the Beach Building is down slightly lower, at beach level and looks out at the south beach.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 314 in the Pointe Building. Loved it.

As part of a birthday treat to my wife I made a reservation for brunch at 11AM in the "Point" on Sunday 5th May. To our huge surprise, we were initially the only couple in the restaurant so were seated at front view table overlooking the Point that has to be one of the premier West Coast locations I've ever seen, that, coming from one born and raised on the BC coast. We were immediately serviced the most delicious fresh fruit juice followed by a perfectly prepared pair of cooked breakfasts one could imagine. All this serviced by the most personable charming young lady who provided us prompt attention to our every need while engaging us in absorbing conversation. A great treat in the most luxurious of surrounds.

Room Tip: We did not stay at Wickaninnish Inn, so therefore cannot rate the rooms etc.....It is a beautiful pl...

This is a gem of a hotel nestled along the coast of Tofino, BC. I now understand why they say it is one of the top 100 things to see in Canada and this place beats all the rest. Five star all the way. Food is top notch breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hard to pull away to try some of the other great restaurants in the area...and there are many. Great spa too. Sorry we didn't stay longer, but have to come back. It will be worth the trip.

Room Tip: Stay in the Pointe building, get a high floor on the Secret Cove side for the best views of the wave...
