The Wickaninnish Inn is situated on a beautiful stretch of ocean surrounded by a forest of trees.
It is a lovely setting and the hotel is understated but elegant. Our room faced the water and was really wonderful. The bed was comfortable , bathroom with heated floors spacious and had all the amenities.
There was a coffee maker , teas and a Britta for water (I appreciated the effort to curb plastic bottles)
Along with that , there were books and a fireplace .,plus an outdoor patio.
Beach cruisers were available to use and a nice aspect of Tofino is the bike path to town.
We ate breakfast in the dining room but did not eat dinner at the hotel. I wanted to try the recommended places in town, which were outstanding and not as expensive.
I thought breakfast was just ok, prices were high and typical for a luxury hotel. I always appreciate a breakfast included in the price of the rooms but that was not offered in this hotel.
I used the spa (for a fee) it was small but more than adequate, the steam room was great, however it was coed which might not be for everyones taste..
All in all our time at the Wickanninnish was delightful.

The rooms that overlook the ocean have views that are some of the most stunning we have seen anywhere in the world. The SPA therapists were equally world class and we had some of the best massages ever in rooms with ocean views. The main restaurant is excellent but do book well in advance of arrival as it fills up quickly. The menu was a little limited for those staying more than a few days.

We visited the inn to celebrate my 70th birthday.we had travelled from Australia.
The grudging welcome and service we received were the downside.
we arrived with three young children at 3pm only one room was ready my daughter and family were not offered any refreshment or any place to sit by the very arrogant receptionist.
A very expensive bottle of champagne was served warm .at my birthday dinner.our protests were brushed aside
.The crabbake and staff there on the other hand were a triumphof style and friendliness.
what a pity this same style was not more widespread'
The concierge was also very helpful.
all in all a DISAPPOINTMENT'

this stunning location and charming Inn deserve the well trained staff that should be provided.

Dear475Suzanneb,
Thank you for providing us with feedback of your recent stay at our Inn through Trip Advisor and please accept our apology that your stay was not to your satisfaction. Feedback from you, our guest, provides us with the information necessary to identify areas that require attention and thereby continually improve the service and product we offer to our guests.
While we were delighted to read you enjoyed the service provided by our Crab Cookout team, we were most disappointed to learn that you did not receive the same level of service upon arrival at our Inn by our Guest Services team. It is our goal to provide each and every guest with a service experience that meets and hopefully exceeds their expectations and we pride ourselves on our friendly, sincere service. We can assure you that this is not the standard at the Wickaninnish Inn and please accept our most sincere apology that we did not meet this goal in your case.
All of our team members are provided with ongoing training which provides them with the tools necessary to ensure each of our guests are provided with a memorable and magical stay here at the Inn from beginning to end.
As we believe our guests are the very best source of information for continual improvement, a member of our Senior Management team will be in touch with you to personally discuss your experience with you.
Again, we are very sorry that we did not meet your expectations and truly hope you will allow us the opportunity to understand and learn from your experience.

We heard about this resort from several friends who visited. It did not disappoint. The lobby, grounds, and restaurant are all absolutely beautiful. Our suite was very comfortable and room service was excellent.

One of our highlight was the crab cookout - what an amazing experience right on the beach. Fresh crab, delicious salads, excellent breads and cheeses, good dessert selection. Exactly what one would want for a private meal on the beach with their closest family and friends, if they happened to have a gourmet chef at their disposal.

During our trip we also tried two of the top-rated (in Trip Advisor) restaurants in Tofino. The Pointe restaurant was on par with the food quality, but there is no restaurant in Tofino with comparable views.

I loved the integration of the buildings with the natural surroundings. The trees and ocean seem to envelop the entire facility - the natural environment really is beautiful.

My wife and I have been to "the Wick" a few times now and are blown away every time.

Perched on a rocky bluff at one end of Chesterman Beach, with the surf of the pacific ocean kissing the shore, it's a spectacular place to connect with the natural world. The beach stretches as far as the eye can see, and at low tide, you can walk to Frank Island for a peak at Eagles nests and other shore creatures.

The Inn and its restaurant are the perfect place to leave the real world behind. The dining is fabulous, with local items from all the food groups.

In the winter, come to watch the wild storms over the sea. In the summer come to surf. Year round, walk along the never-ending beach.

Truly one of the most amazing places in the world.

Should have been a wonderful experience but the service was not as solid as we had experienced on the rest of our trip. Would have expected more attention to detail and follow through for such a hotel.

Dear Traceyalanx;
Many thanks for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your recent stay. We are sorry to have not lived up to your expectations and this concerns us greatly, especially as it seems there was not as much attention to detail or follow through as you would have expected. As we were not aware of any challenges or shortcomings being brought to our attention during your visit including anything brought to the attention of the staff member who checked you out on departure, you can rest assured we will be in touch to see where we did not perform up to expectations. I do know our Concierge team made a reservation for you with one of our local Bear Watching companies that was cancelled by yourselves within the cancellation period and the supplier graciously reduced the cancellation fee by a very significant margin even though he was unable to resell these available openings, perhaps this may be the source of your concern.

Lovely establishment, beach accommodation. Wonderful service and lots of things to do in the area. Only quibble I would have is that the Pointe should change up their menu so that those staying more than 2 days are not hard pressed to choose.
