We stayed at the Pacific Sands Beach Resort in June 2012. We found the facilties excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. While the kitchenette was well appointed, we missed on-site dining facility but found an excellent resturant at a neighbouring facility. We would have no hesitancy in going back.

Room Tip: All suites and rooms face the beach. Ground floor rooms are excellent for anyone wanting to avoid th...

Great service, fantastic room on the beach, the whole family enjoyed the beachfront bonfire pit - would definitely come again! The room contained everything we needed and the view is unsurpassed. Great place for new and experienced surfers. You'll love it!

Room Tip: We had a 1-bedroom beachfront suite which was perfect for a family of 4.

The Pacific Sands Beach resort is a great family destination. We enjoyed 4 nights here recently, and were very comfortable in a 2 bedroom beach villa. The views are amazing, and the constant sound of the surf was relaxing. The villas are well furnishing, clean and have all the amenities that you need for a comfortable stay. The Pacific Sands is a short 7km drive south of Tofino, and there are bicycles available on sight. The bike ride into town is ~20 minutes or so. The resort isn't crowded and Cox Beach is both scenic and entertaining given the many surfers who ride its waves. Our kids enjoyed the tide pools each evening during low tide, and we were fortunate to have sunny days during our stay.

Room Tip: Get the beachfront 2 bedroom villa - its worth it!

The Beach Front Suite is a good size, bathroom smallish but fine, living area ample, settee uncomfortable to sit on and the bed unfortunately was very uncomfortable also and small, walked straight into the corner of the bed on the first night and had a lovely purple bruise for about 8 days later so beware corner of bed, ample space for hanging clothes, ample drawer space, cute little kitchen, walked out the back to face the ocean and about 30 yards walk to the beach which was lovely got some lovely sunset pictures, very popular with surfers which were great to watch, loved the rock pools and hunting sand dollars.

We've stayed here 5 years in a row and never been disappointed. It feels like your own cottage while you're there, never crowded, no strident rules posted about. The surfing is excellent and right at your doorstep. Great hikes at either end of the long beach with rewarding views, wavewatching, tide pools. Rooms are comfortable, very clean and well-equipped. Our family doesn't have a lot of $ so the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 kids) stay in the Beachfront Suites with one bedroom, one rollout couch, and the space works very well. I highly recommend the resort, it's just the best location if you want to surf, hike and play on the beach.

Room Tip: Beachfront suites are closest to the beach, ground floor units are great if you have surfboards and...

The main feature of this resort is the amazing environment that surrounds it, but that speaks for itself. The resort itself was very good. We received excellent and friendly service from the front desk and cleaning staff. We booked a two room suite and it was very well appointed and maintained. The views from the room were outstanding as we were a mere 25 feet from the beach. I am going back to visit again. Our stay was effortless and the service and accommodation seamless, like any great resort should be.
