Lovely stay at this condo hotel! Units are beautifully furnished, everything is ultra modern, new, very clean and state of the art. Bed was super comfortable, high quality linens. Bathroom was fantastic, shower had great water pressure! Enjoyed all aspects of this hotel including lounge area and viewing platform. Hot tub looked like it would be nice too, but it appeared to be occupied everytime we walked by.
Staff were very helpful and knoweldgable about the area, town amenities, and recommendations. My friend was unwell and ended up needing to take her to the local hospital. The fellow at the front desk was really helpful about where the pharmacies in town were, what their hours were etc. He was outstanding!
We also had an issue with a plugged toilet in the morning and the staff member came promptly and fixed the problem within 20 minutes!
I didn't have a problem with this hotel not having a resturant. You can pop into any grocery store in town and stock up. The Beaches Grocery Store is a short drive away (5min away on highway) There is a fancy resturant at Long Beach Lodge next door ( I would suggest making reservations) and you can just walk on the beach up to that hotel and walk right in. Has tasty west coast cuisine.
There is a nice rocky area on the far R side of the beach, past Pacific Sands resort. Follow the path up and it goes to the top of the rocky outlook, it is a fabulous area for watching the sunset! You can see starfish, sea anenomes and all sorts of cool things in the water on the way.
The only annoyances on this trip were things that were nothing to do with the hotel.
Lots of people's children running around hotel using hot tub, making mess in public areas.
The town is quite remote and many cell phone providers do not have adequate service (including Rogers). Wifi worked well for my laptop but not for my friend's ipad.
If you need cell phone contact or internet service for work, don't expect it to work necessarily in Tofino.
Also, town has excellent small hospital with outstanding medical staff, but if you have serious medical problems eg, heart attack, it would be a difficult evacuation to nearest bigger city (Port Alberni is a 1.5 hr drive, treacherous).
Thanks for excellent stay! look foward to coming back :)
