Industrial Way isn’t the prettiest location in Tofino but there are a number of drink/food places at the start of the street that are worth a visit. If you want to try the brewery’s beers in small quantities try a flight – 4 x 5oz beers of your choice from the menu, so you don’t waste money on a large, expensive glass of something you don’t like. I loved both the pale ale and IPA, which you can buy in bottles from the brewery – or take in your ‘growler’ for a refill!
Not a great ambience at the site – more for a short stay & sampling. There is a small food menu to soak up the beers but its not really a lunch stop in our opinion. There are however, several food stops in the street to soak up any excess alcohol intake.

Why the 5,000,000+ city in which I live can’t have a fabulous bakery like Summit, I’ll never know. This bakery is tucked away in a nondescript industrial area, but don’t let that deter you. They make all kinds of artisan breads, pastries, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, brownies, etc. We got a baguette for lunch and it was some of the best bread I’ve had in a long time. We also shared a brownie (large enough for two). Summit is good enough to make me want to move to Tofino.

Dropped in early morning for their fresh baked almond croissants, my favourite choice. Also, enjoyed the Summit buns made with sourdough, fresh egg, roasted onion, sunflower pesto, kale, Swiss cheese and bacon.

Stopped by as read about this new bakery. Not in touristy area of Tofino but not hard to find if make effort. Tried baguette ( to have with meat and cheese from neighboring Picnic Chacuterie), coffee cake and great Ale Rye Bread. This bread is dense and chewy and great in morning toasted with organic honey on top! Donot miss one.

Hands down the best little bakery on the west coast. Everything is made fresh daily. I love a good savoury pastry and the ‘Ruben’ really does it for me! I try to go first thing when they open (7am) so it’s still warm **drool**. This company also supplies fresh baking to many vendors in town as well. Yum yum!
