Took a zodiac whale watching trip, and it was fabulous! From our first phone conversation, to our arrival, to our nature movie, to our suiting up and safety instructions....all done with professionalism and warmth, a genuine desire to see you have the best trip possible. Our guide Randy took us out and we saw eagles on the nest, sea otters, were treated to a happy dance by the Stellar Sea Lions, then out to follow a grey whale feeding for about 20 min. We were also incredibly lucky to find a humpback mother and calf treat us to a little jumping and tail slapping, then chanced upon another group of 4 or 5 more humpbacks (including another mother and calf) with lots of tailslapping an some outstanding photo opportunities. We'd been so lucky with what we'd found Randy even kept us out longer than normal. Back at base we were greeted outside by staff truly excited to hear about what we'd seen, and a lovely pot of hot tea! Don, you have an outstanding group of staff who made our journey with you the highlites of our visit to Tofino. Thank you so much!

Highly professionally-run tour with extremely friendly staff. Sorry we can't remember their names, but when we ventured into the office we were greeted by a young guy who was keen to help, though his colleague took over as he was learning the ropes, being new to the job. She helpfully explained what was involved (our enquiry was about bear watching) and we were lucky there was a tour starting in a few hours. The prep beforehand was very professionally delivered. Our guide, Jay, was wonderfully mellow and incredibly knowledgeable. He was very generous with his time. We saw five bears in four different locations, bald eagles in flight, perched on trees and in the water, near their nest, sea otters sunning themselves on a rock and several other birds. The scenery was spectacular - worth taking the trip for this alone! Although we'd never been on a skidoo before, it was exhilarating. All in all, a wonderful experience, right down to the peppermint tea and the restaurant advice when we returned to shore. Highly recommend it. A great way to spend a few hours in Tofino. DO IT!

We took a whale watching tour today. It was well organized. We were given all necessary instructions and didn't have any issues of not knowing what to do during the trip. Our captain Jay, very experienced professional, was an example of a perfect guide and captain. He managed to find 7 killer whales and a grey whale. The trip was very exciting and my family and I enjoyed it. We really recomend this place.
We are also going to take a bears watching and hot springs tours in a couple days. Grea place, great business. Keep it same way guys!

We had been recommended Remote Passages by various people as the best excursion company to use in Tofino. Every single aspect of our dealings with them were second to none. They were very helpful via email and over the phone. Our plan was to do the Hot Springs tour the first day, and the bear watching the next. When we arrived, they advised us it would be a better day to do the bear watching tour, and as no one else had booked onto it, we would have a private tour. This tour was the highlight of our 2 week holiday across Canada. The service from their office/shop was brilliant. Everyone was so kind and informative. Our guide, Ryan, was amazing. He was so passionate about the area and the wildlife. We saw 4 bears in total, and plenty of harbour seals and eagles. The next day we did the Hot Springs Tour and that was also great. The Hot Springs can get quite packed, but we were the last boat to arrive, and therefore the last boat to leave... so we had the hot springs to ourself. On the way back we saw 2 Grey Whales. We would like to thank Remote Passages for making our holiday as perfect as it could be. We will definitely return to Tofino, for an even longer duration, and will be sure to go back to Remote Passages.

We found ourselves at Remote Passages while wandering through town and were pleased to be educated about all the adventure options available from Hot Springs cove to whale/bear watching to a simple trip to Meares Island for the walk along the Big Tree Trail. No pressure and friendly service worked so we signed up and had a great time.
