Owner description: Long Beach, the longest beach of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, spans an extraordinary 16km (10mi) along the west coast of Vancouver Island. Described by locals to be magical, you will be astonished by the amount of life that call the tidal pools home. You will be sure to find crabs, shells, starfish, sea urchins and much more. As the surf comes crashing in, you will find surfers from around the world carving through the peaks of the waves. As the water settles, it gracefully rides up the beach with peaceful trickles and shimmering light from the breathtaking sunset crossing the colourful horizon. Long Beach is truly a rejunivating getaway for all ages. Whether you're looking to kickback, explore, adventure, hike, surf, or just take one of those long walks on the beach, Long Beach has it all.

“Breathtaking views and nature at it's best”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

The first time I visited here was camping on the beach in the 70's and it was spectacular then as a teenager. I have been back twice since then in the 90's and a couple of years ago and was so impressed that it remains nature at it's very best....utterly breathtaking and amazing....definately a must see!

“Love the storm watching”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Tofino is a great place to visit any time, in summer to walk on Long Beach, to watch for whales, to watch the waves come in and search for shells, to storm watch, to stay in a resort overlooking the ocean. Lots of surfers, surfing stores and surf lesson places. Resorts are somewhat pricey especially at high season times.

“Best for sunsets”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

Gorgeous spot to watch the setting sun and observe the waves after a long day of surf and exploring Tofino!
I would suggest this spot to anyone visiting Tofino, either for a first visit, or a returning visitor. A great spot to show guests as well!

“Nature at its best!”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

This is a beautiful beach and not what one would expect on the BC coast. There are other beaches (I think even better) to see here. The weather can be tricky but if you hit it right it is spectacular. Be careful if you venture out on the rocky points. The big waves can be deceiving and the sea isn't picky about who she takes!
