“Nothing outstanding”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

It had such good reviews yet the quality was a let down. The food was edible but rather old fashioned and disappointing. I wouldn't go there again but I expect lots of elderly tourists will continue enjoying this restaurant.

“Really very very good”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

Fresh crisp salads, smiling servers, sunshine on the deck, right in Ganges. Recommended for anyone visiting the village.

“Lovely lunch on the deck”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

lunch on the deck in the summer was lovely. I had the "lunch express" which was a very fresh crisp gourmet green salad with dill/mustard dressing and the chowder, which was very good as well. Dining partner had club house, which he thought was great, and some of the best fries I've ever stolen off a companion's plate - crispy, salty and delicious.
I had to try a desert - Tiramisu (all deserts were homemade), very good, shared on the deck in the sunshine on a Saltspring Island afternoon.

“Worth the travel!”
Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

A stop in Ganges during a sailingtrip, demands a stop at Calvin's Bistro. Very friendly owner. Makes you feel welcome. Excellent fishdishes. The starter Baby Spinach was fresh and good, the red snapper with prawns is delicious. Dessert was just great: carrotcake! All worth to come back.
