Drive and park at Ruckle Point Provincial Park on Salt Spring Island. You have to get here by a BC Ferry. Find the coastal path and end up walking through quiet old growth woods. Pass bays and coves of natural beauty. Hear the waves lap on the shore. Smell the fresh tree air and enjoy the trails made by the first pioneers only a 150 years or so ago.Pitch a tent in the summer. Watch the wild turkeys roam the pioneer farm. Wear rain gear and walk in the misty rain when no one else will venture out. Couples go in the Spring and fall. Families in the summer.
