This B&B is somewhat off the beaten track between Long Harbour and Ganges (cyclists note: the roads leading up to the B&B are hilly and challenging). The property is large, includes swimming pool and hot tub, and slopes gradually, then steeply down to the water. If you are adventurous, it is worth hiking down to the beach. The guest rooms are attached to a large log-style house and are comfortable, with beautiful views through Arbutus trees to the water. There is also a self-contained cottage. Breakfast was good, nothing special. Furnishings and interior decor could best be described as "Salt Spring Eclectic". Price was consistent with other B&B's on the island. Recommended.

If you are craving a place that offers large, mouthwatering breakfasts and dreamlike scenery, you should stay at the Long Harbour B&B. It is secluded, and indulgent. Diane and Randy created delicious breakfasts with fresh eggs from their hens. They also offered a wealth of information regarding what to do and how to get there. The rooms were well appointed with a very comfy bed, a bar fridge, table and chairs, a deck area with a bar-b-que, and even a stocked picnic basket. Our room had a lovely view overlooking the water ane we enjoyed our morning coffee at the bistro table on our private deck area. We also relaxed in the hot tub just around the corner from our "Garden Suite", in late evening where we engaged in some great conversation and a glass or two of vino. We enjoyed beach-combing the water front below the cabins as well as some nature "zen" time in the canoe. I would recommend a car to get to and from various attractions, but other than that, all your needs are met at the Long Harbour B&B, Enjoy! :)

The Long Harbour B&B is a beautiful log cabin tucked away above the Long Harbour. It is a bit off the beaten track but that's part of its charm. It is very quiet and we had wonderful views of the inner harbour. Our hosts were very friendly and had lots of good recommendations for us. Our breakfasts every morning were amazing; Diane is an excellent cook. I left feeling like I had made new friends.

I stayed in the Seaside Suite for 7 nights. The room was very well appointed and clean. It was decorated in turquoise and black within the log cabin. It felt like home. I had a well stocked kitchenette and there was also a BBQ on the deck for our use. There is a large jacuzzi tub with a telephone shower.

There was a games room, hottub, canoes / kayaks and an outdoor pool nearby.

I would recommend bringing a car - we felt a bit isolated as we flew to the island, but between the community bus and hitch hiking we managed. Everyone is very friendly and there were lots of things to do on the island.

I would definitely come back here for a visit.

I came for an extended vacation with a friend, and we decided to rent the nice big cabin for ourselves! But it smelled. We couldn't figure out what it was but it was making us really ill, so after a few days we decided to look under the mattresses and couch cushions and there was what looked like dried barf plastered under them. YUCK!!! Don't know WHEN the owner last cleaned properly (ie. above an under furniture). Place also smelled like dank dog from all the people who have had their dogs there.

Room Tip: seaside room to avoid being in their noisy house

We spent two delightful days relaxing by the pool, feeding the horses, or chasing AU the house dog up and down the trail to the ocean. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts Diane and Randy couldn't have been nicer.
If you are craving a quiet retreat or a romantic getaway this is the place for you. Contact them also about Music nights,( which we missed but they sound wonderful...an intimate gathering around the grand piano in the enormous living room. )
