Arrived at 11.30 pm after the most fantastic ferry excursion from Port Hardy. We were greeted immediately and got our room and hit the sack after a little wi fi time. Rooms was clean , excellent bed and bedding lots of hot water. The a good breakfast , more than adequate selection, attentive server . We left our truck in their lot , toured the city til 2 and then headed to Terrace. Would stay there again as its very close to everything and not far from the ferry.

Room Tip: water view if you can get it.

We stayed at the Inn on the Harbour for a week during a local festival. There were four of us sharing a two queen bedded room. It was a bit of squeeze but it was workable. Some of the rooms have been updated at the the hotel so I am sure that it is only a matter of time before they are all done. Ours was not a recently updated room but it served our purpose well. The room was clean and the beds were super comfortable - so we all slept great. We had a room facing out to the harbour and it was a nice view and I liked the touch of having a pair of binoculars in the room as well. My only disappointment was the lack of drawer space in the room. There were just two drawers so even for two people that is not a lot of place to unpack your case into and also our bedside table seemed to have been turned 90 degrees to be able to fit between the two beds so there was no storage with that at all - not a drawer to keep glasses, etc. in. It was also a little frustrating that despite the room having four of us in, there were not four lots of towels. Yes, this was rectified by asking and by the end of the week, we did end up having the four sets but we seemed to be asking every day at the beginning. The breakfast was excellent - all muffins, bagels, etc. were from Tim Hortons so the quality was excellent. We had connecting rooms to other people within our group which worked well. Overall, it was a great stay and I would certainly go back and stay there again. All the staff was very helpful and friendly and I found the Manager to be approachable and happy to assist with any request. She certainly took pride in her work.

We stayed 3 nights.
The room was modern and roomy with a really great view of the harbour where the many eagles come in to feed once or twice a day. and plenty of boat traffic which was better than watching TV.
there are train tracks below which are not busy, this being the end of the tracks they only move cars during the day.
There is a public balcony off the breakfast/lounge area which was great for taking photos. the breakfast was your basic food with no hot choices like waffles...
In June the sun sets around 10pm and it stays daylight until at least midnight if you are lucky enough to be there when it is not raining.
We were not tempted to eat at the restaurant next door for convenience; we drove the 5 minutes to Cow Bay for much better choices.
We would certainly return.

We stayed here one night while waiting for ferry departure. The rooms were very nice and exceptionally clean. We stayed city side and it was quiet and comfortable. The staff was pleasant, but felt like we were "just a number"(which we were), but they did not go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was very basic for a hotel that cost this much. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, just felt some things could be improved for the $$ spent. Restuarant next door was closed.

Room Tip: Do not feel the harbor rooms are worth the extra $$ if you are only there to get a good nights sleep.& since we were leaving on the ferry the next day that was our primary purpose.

The most recent upgrades to this hotel make it one of the most nicely appointed properties in all of BC. I love the art, the decor, and the location. Their interior designer knew what she was doing. The service is above and beyond amazing.

Pay the extra amount to book a newly renovated harbourview room, you will not be disappointed.

I can't wait to think of an excuse to go back to Prince Rupert.
