stayed here for 3 nights in late july. nice clean lodging with good location, underused deck gives a great window on the waterfront, would definitely stay here again. staff provided excellent service, fresh seafood in this city is incredible, we ate at both dolly's and the crest, both were fantastic along with other spots

We stayed at Inn on the Harbour for 3 nights in early August 2013. The hotel is well located to walk to everything in downtown Prince Rupert, and close to catch the bus. Our "city view" room looked out on the parking lot right above the front door of the hotel, so we heard everyone coming and going. Our room was stifling hot, and a small fan did not make up for the lack of ventilation. The towels were thick and soft and the amenities were good quality, but we didn't get new soaps, shampoo, or lotion during our stay. We had to phone to ask for coffee, and the last morning we had no cups for our coffee. The bed was super comfy and the linens were good quality. Staff were friendly and the continental breakfast was decent. So there were positives and negatives, and all in all it was an average place.

New renovated suites, very comfortable, excellent staff, unbeatable Harbor view. Very convenient for our office work needs. Housekeeping team always on top of rooms and public areas, no need for heater or AC, definitely July its the best time of the year to visit.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are less noise.

Booked rooms in Feb. for a July fishing trip,Two days before Leaving for the 1000 mile trip to Prince Rupert I called to confirm our reservation and to cancel one of three rooms.everything was OK and they would be expecting us.Arriving in Prince Rupert.Upon arrival the room door way was not wide enough for my wheel chair,The handicap room was not available for that night and I new this when I booked but was told that I could switch rooms the next night and for the next two nights. The hotel clerk assigned us a upgrade suite which cost us more which I could enter the room but could not get into the bath room, she said that maybe we could use the bathroom in the front entorance or the bath room in the handicap room which I thought was rented but no the room was under construction and would not be finished for a couple of weeks. This Hotel had been great for the last three trips I was there and the handicap room was one of best I had stayed in and supported my needs, but to tell us that the reservation was good two night before our trip knowing full well that this room would not be available is just wrong. They did work with us and found accommodation at the Crest Hotel and paid the difference, but who needs this hassel after driving 1000 miles.I dought I will ever stay there again.

Room Tip: Stay at the Crest in Prince Rupert.

What's special about the Inn on the Harbour is the views of the harbor, if your room is on the west side overlooking the harbor. We needed a family suite, which meant that our room faced the parking lot on the east side of the building. Our room was clean and otherwise okay but too hot (even though it wasn't especially hot outdoors) and inexplicably overcrowded with enough chairs for a small assembly. There was a portable air conditioner, which eventually brought the temperature down to a comfortable level but was extremely noisy. An uninteresting but serviceable continental breakfast is provided in a room that has a beautiful view of the harbor. The parking lot is either barely large enough or not quite large enough. We found a parking spot each time, but it was dicey and in one instance we got the last available spot even though it was not late in the evening. The staff at the front desk was pleasant to deal with.

Room Tip: If you don't need a family suite (as we did), choose a room overlooking the harbor. Great views.
