What a great place, make sure you get a room with ocean view. The young lady behind the till was very helpful in suggesting restaurants, and all in all gave us a great customer experience. I usually stay at 'The Crest', but I think my next visits I will return to the Inn.

I arrived at 3:30 a.m. from the Alaska ferry, and couldn't have had a better reception - a warm welcome from the person on duty, efficient check-in (and a later check-out), and a free upgrade to a beautiful harbour view room. It was nice and quiet, and clean and comfy. I just wish I could have spent longer there. I would have liked to lounge on the couch by the window enjoying the view and looking for whales with the binoculars provided. The included breakfast was fine: yoghurt, juice, toast, muffins etc. The location was great for me, a short walk to the Greyhound terminal one side, and a short walk to the museum and gardens on the other.

Room Tip: From my experience and looking at comments from others, it appears that the harbour view rooms are g...

If you are travelling to Prince Rupert on business this is the hotel you want to book. The accommodations are exactly what you expect - comfortable, clean, well equipped. Stay on the harbour side is you want the view.

A very good location facing the sea & within walking distance to all facilities. No elevator in building
After 1 night with mountain view we upgraded to a room on the opposite side of the hotel.
It had a amazing view over the water, boats etc. & there were many features to make this a deluxe room. Complete with Binoculars to view the scenery!!!
The staff were very pleasant & helpful.
Continental breakfast was included as well.
About 10 min. walk to the tourist area of Cow Bay, but restaurants & main shops are close by.

Room Tip: If you can afford it request a room on the ocean side for a fabulous view!

We stayed at the Inn on the Harbour for one night prior to taking the ferry from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy. The room and services were adequate. The front desk was friendly and the continental breakfast (muffins, scones, tea, coffee) was appreciated in the early morning. Our room faced the parking lot which was a across the street from a bar. Given that it was a Saturday night, the bar was busy and there was a lot of noise into the early morning. There is a decent restaurant right next door which has a beautiful view of the harbour. Overall, a decent place to stay for one night but try to have a harbour view so you don't have the noise from the bar across the street. Also keep in mind that there isn't an elevator so if you don't want to use the stairs, ask for a room on the ground floor.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour side room so you won't hear the noise from the bar across the street.

This hotel was truly a blessing! We left the Crest hotel early and checked into the Inn on the Harbour in their family suite! Talk about comfort! A separate room with 2 beds and a bathroom with a nice long counter! The front desk staff were the best with their directions and bang on with their restaurant recommendations!! We wish we would have made our original reservations here! Will definitely be back!

The Inn on the Harbour is in a good location in Prince Rupert, with friendly helpful reception staff and good rooms at a reasonable price. We arrived very early in the morning from the ferry and were delighted to be told that we could have our room immediately. We had a harbour view room which was very nice and a couple of deer visited the grass in front of our window which was a treat. The room was big with two double beds and a very good en-suite. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped - including a small fridge. A continental breakfast is available with tea, coffee, scones and muffins and self-service toast - and was ready before 6am when we were there. I would be very happy to stay there again.
