Haven't stayed at the Crest for a number of years and was I ever surprised and pleased to stay in a comfortable, updated room complete with all the amenities. Staff are friendly and competent and the dining room is likely one of the better eating establishments in town.

Harbor side rooms are definitely a plus for the wonderful view!

Room Tip: The Harbor side is definitely something to ask for. Away from the traffic noise and the view (when it is sunny) is definitely worth asking for.

Probably the nicest hotel in Prince Rupert. Lobby and common areas are very attractive. Rooms look very nice. We stayed two separate times for one night apiece (before/after going to Ketchikan Alaska)... first time we got a large room, but had no A/C (and no screens on windows)... 2'nd time we got a tiny room... but it had A/C. Ice is only available on certain floors and parking is limited. If a different setting I may have only given it 3 of 5 on the rating... but the other hotels didn't look nearly as nice.

Stayed in the hotel for three nights during a recent fishing trip and found the hotel, lounge and personnel working in the hotel very attentive. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying for one night or multiple nights. I agree with other reviewers that the harbour view rooms are the one to request.

Room Tip: Harbour view rooms on the south side have a very good view of the bald eagle that perches out side the window.

As long as you book a Harbour View room, your views will be great, but not on the first floor. If you don't specify, you may look out over the parking lot, which would be a shame. Rooms a little on the small side and air con not working. We ate here in the Waterfront restaurant - it was busy, but we were served quickly. Nothing flashy on the menu, but if you don't mind simple it's not bad for the price. Make sure to book though. A Bald Eagle resides in the tree just outside on the waterfront side, good to see!!

Good position overlooking the estuary but after 16 hours on the ferry, estuaries tend to lose a bit of their appeal. The outside restaurant terrace looked run down with old propane heaters lying around, broken. The cargo ship looked nice. Apparently the owner feeds sea eagles here. Lobby and bar were nice, although the receptionist was austere and a bit in your face. Breakfast good, although the waitress was clueless, but at 80 bucks for three a little pricey. There a many food outlets within a few minutes of the hotel and we would have used that option if we weren't so tired. The bedroom was fine, no air cond. so had to open all the windows. Bathroom small and a bit crapped. Comfortable bed and lovely pillows. Big flat screen. Big problem with this place, which is obviously trying to be more upmarket, is the single lift, which is seriously a downer when coaches turn up. I personally didn't feel at home here, which I always use as a pointer. But still, it ticks all the boxes and I feel relaxed enough to face a morning going round a fish cannery. Yippee.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review regarding your recent stay with us. I noted your remarks regarding the "propane heaters lying around" it appears you stayed with us the day we replaced the propane heater on our deck. The old heaters were removed by the end of the day. as you may appreciate the weather on the North Coast can dictate our ability to complete outside maintenance, unfortunately the summer of 2014 has not provided us an opportunity to repaint the lounge sundeck. The forecast for the coming week looks promising. I will pass on your remarks regarding the breakfast server to our food service manager for follow up.

Yours truly,
Crest Hotel
