We were so pleasantly surprised to find that we had a 'downstairs apartment' completely to ourselves; a huge and comfortable lounge area, bedroom and separate bathroom, and a small area where we could make tea/coffee, with a fridge. We were so pleased that we had opted to stay 2 nights (rather than 1, on our trip through the Rockies) with Stuart and Marie who were the most welcoming and friendly hosts, right from the moment we arrived with Stuart serving us tea and biscuits on the lawn overlooking the beautiful Nechako River. The next morning we were presented with gorgeous cakes to try which were made by a neighbour; we were treated like friends rather than paying guests. It was so peaceful there that we both slept incredibly well, and the breakfasts, prepared by Stuart, were superb.
We were not that taken with Prince George, although we did have a lovely long walk along the riverbank (suggested by our hosts) and a lovely meal at Earls (another suggestion by our hosts). Although a little way out of the city, this is definitely THE place to stay.
