I as do not use this service it is difficuly to rate properly. The new location seems a bit out of the way if one is a tourist new to town.

Hi nancyjean60,

Although we welcome your comments, I would encourage you to come stop by the Visitor Centre before rating our property, since you say you do not use it. Even if you're a local, you can still come down and discover new things to do in our community!

Our location is not actually "new"; we have been here for over nine years. Residents are not always familiar with this because they tend to only use our services when they have guests visiting. Our location on First Ave is actually very convenient for many travellers who use Highway 16, especially RV travellers coming from Edmonton or Calgary.

Please come say hi one time and we can hopefully convince you to give us a 5-star rating :)

Thanks for your input,
Tia Kelly

“Helpful!”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Stopped in here twice. Once for suggestions for a hotel, and later for a running route suggestion. The space is large and modern with lots of information. Staff is quick and eager to assist. The only downside is the location - in a very industrial part of town. Also, street signs directing you there from the highway suddenly disappear as you get closer.

“Prince George, a great city”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

If you are just looking for another British Columbia, Prince George has the quiet, relaxing, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The roads to Prince George from the south offers majestic scenery that is awesome to look at and for picture taking. Prince George itself is a city filled with friendly and respectful people. I've seen very, very few graffitis, the streets are clean and quiet but not isolating. From the people at the tourism office to an ordinary guy on the street, ask for directions and they'll be so helpful to do their best to guide you. There aren't many attractions in this city and to the random traveller passing by, it might not be easy to catch a summer festivity as there aren't many. But the city itself, the people are enough to conquer your interest to come back year after year. If you're rich and famous, you'll feel safe in this city. If you're rich and infamous then you'll easily get caught because people here takes personal interests on tourist but in a good way. The arts council showcase folk and native art and prices are reasonable. Twin Rivers center has a shop and a gallery where you can find unique gifts to give away for Christmas. Compare hotel prices and cleanliness. The hotels will allow you to pre-check your room prior to booking. Some hotels have complimentary breakfast and some downtown restaurants have random comedy or musical shows, karaoke, etc but not always.
Sleep in a Prince George hotel at the end of the day after checking out small towns with lakes and picnic grounds. There isn't much picnic places in this city. It has a park, Fort George that is again, a quiet place with picnic tables and where the Fraser River can be sighted. Still not much but the people and many businesses are just great. It is a city to be recommended to those looking for serene and peace with a little city twist.

We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to review our location. I'm glad you had such a positive experience dealing with our staff and describing the area. We definitely have the best of both worlds in Prince George: wilderness surrounds our city, which has everything you need as far as accommodations, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. I hope next time you can check out our other parks, as we have plenty of picnic areas available besides Fort George Park. Connaught Hill, Cottonwood Island, and many more can be found in city limits.

Again, we thank you for your feedback and comments. We agree that we have amazing people in this city. Please come back soon :)
