A very good view into the pioneers of the upper Fraser area. A nice stop if you going through the area in the summer.

This off the beaten track national historic site is park of the golden raven network, they don't charge for entry just ask for donations.
First: the staff are all super friendly despite being in period costume which on this hot day must have been roasting!
They have plenty to look at and offer guided tours. There's ducks, chickens, award winning rabbits, sheep and this is in addition to the beautiful starlings nesting in the equipment shed. On the road out you will see cows and horses which adds to the delight if you have a toddler on board!
You can stop in the trading post and buy vintage candy (reasonably priced, and no taxes!) to keep the kids quiet for the 30 min drive back to Prince George.
Only off putting thing was in the main house there were literally a million flies! It was gross and stopped my 11yo enjoying the period features of the house- she commented there must be a body in the attic or something.
Awesome afternoon out, plenty of space for small ones to run around (river is fenced off :D ) and enough to keep the pre-teen interested in how good she has it now!

I had my wedding ceremony at Huble a few weeks ago and overall, we were pleased with the experience. We planned on an outdoor ceremony, but it began to rain a few hours before the wedding and the staff was very helpful in moving everything in from outside. The only problem we ran into was the fact that we could not get ahold of them the morning of the wedding. We were trying to call to see if we could get some lights put into the barn that we were using as a back up plan and were unable to contact them after multiple calls. I'm pretty sure we must have had their downtown office number. Other than that, it was a beautiful location and I would recommend their facility for a wedding ceremony or just a little day trip out of town. Cheers!
