“Clean rooms but outdated and hard beds. You get what you past for.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

I stayed here for one night in October.
The furniture was outdated, the walls a little thin and the mattress was on the hard side but the room was clean and spacious.
The heater seemed to kick on even though I had turned it off and kept the room rather hot.
Acceptable for a quick overnight stop.
You get what you pay for.

If your travel style is like mine, Just give me a clean room for cheap with self-service options (fridge, microwave oven). This is it.
If you are looking for build in restaurant with room service, and bellman…..u shouldn't be looking at motels anyways… right?

I've stayed here a few times because it's cheap - until I discovered other, cleaner, newer hotels that are around the same price.

The last time I was there, I was given a double room. I always choose the bed closest to the bathroom but it had obviously been slept in - it was not clean. The other one had no dirt, hair, etc but the sheets were stained which creeped me out. They obviously hadn't vacuumed because there was dirt on the floor. The air freshener smell was overpowering.

The bathroom was clean. The room is a decent size. Beds are small. There is air conditioning but it's really loud. The Wi-Fi was great.

I pulled back the covers on the bed and there was a used condom wrapper!! Obviously they did not change the sheets and they were filthy!! The carpet crunched as you walked on it and the room stunk. The smell of illegal drugs was was over powering and absolutely intolerable!! Do NOT stay there!!

This one looked ok from the drive-by; only wanted a basic stay for one night while in town for a late-night function so thought it would be adequate. I peeked into the room before paying; there was a rather overwhelming fragrance from the "room spray" but it looked decent enough; beds were "firm" but I thought they would pass.

Plus things:
It was cheap. $75 for the night.
The wireless worked well, no problems.
Excellent water pressure & quantity in the shower.
Reasonably clean, though the toilet looked like it could use a good scrub inside the bowl. It appeared that the room had not been stayed in recently; very likely due to the very minimal number of guests staying that night, which should have been a tip-off as our usual hotel was fully booked when we tried to get a room - there was a hockey tournament going on & the city was busy.

Negative things:
Not a bargain at $75. I would happily pay more for a decent sleep/better beds.
The beds were small. Double-size, maybe? Definitely not queen size. Not a problem as there were two of us & we used one bed each, but if sleeping as a couple one of us would have ended up on the floor!
The beds were hard and uncomfortable. I tossed & turned all night & eventually just got up at 5 AM. Sore back all day as a result of bed.
Thermostat appeared to not work very well. Room was very warm & I turned down the thermostat but appeared to have no effect. This was in February, so maybe shouldn't complain about "too warm" but it was an issue for sleeping comfort.
No restaurant (one on site but closed); no pool/sauna etc. - looked like those had been closed for some time.

In general, an older facility on its way downhill.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else, or bring along a mattress topper & your own pillows!

My kids and I chose to stay here because we have a little dog. We did not end up spending the night because the living conditions in that room were not at all live able! There was white dog hair all over the beds, it smelt like fecies in there. The carpets are so gross and the walls have never been cleaned by the looks of it. Beyond all that there was BUGS!!! There was earwigs, beetles the ones we can identify! Those bugs were in between the mattresses. That was it I was angry and got my money back and went to the Sandman which was worth paying the extra $40.00 And for anyone that wants to know I believe that room number was 301 it is upstairs on the very left. It has been the worse I have ever seen! I don't know how they can keep this place open?! Iam disgusted!

Old motel with large but basic room that needs reno. Accumulated grime on walls and carpet filthy - hesitate to walk on it without shoes.

Advertise wi-fi but their router does not have an active connection so no Internet available and office is closed (@ 9:45pm?) and there is no way to contact staff to try to get it fixed. Long term guest commented that Internet is highly unreliable and staff don't seem to care.
