When we arrived at the B&B we were offered a complimentary glass of wine. We were given a large selection to choose from. Then we were show up to our room which had a spiral stair case for upstairs. The whole top floor was ours. The room was very large. The bed was soft and extremely comfortable. It came with a small fridge, TV, DVD player, alarm clock and chocolates on our pillows. There was also a folder detailing all the attivities and attractions in and around Penticton. It also included a winery listing and coupons for various resturants and wineries. When we came down stairs we were given a tour of the home and the pool area. Although it was too cold to swim while we were there we enjoyed sitting by it in the sun. There was lawn bowling and we played at night. Our host Traudy was amazing. She was there to help us or chat but was never pushy or absent. She had a certain charm about her that reflected on her business aswell. The next morning we had breakfast outside and the setting was all to relaxing. We were served coffee, orange juice, water, Fresh fruit with yogurt and granola and a crossant with her mothers home made jam for the first course and then belgium french toast topped with pecans, icing sugar and syrup. When then drove 2 mins to lakeshore Drive (on the beach) to spend the day in Penticton. The next morning we were served outside again and had coffee, orange juice, water and Fruit and granola in a cup and toast for our first course. Then we were served an dish that was wisked eggs with peppers, mushrooms and onions baked with cheese on top for the second course. It was so delicious. We then had to pack up to say goodbye. But before we left Traudy had baked us home made chocolate chip cookies to send us on our way. When we arrived at our next location and checked our email she had sent us a nice little email wishing us a safe trip home. I would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to be near downtown Penticton but retire away from that in your own little gem down the road. Traudy is going to be moving to Narmata so contact her to see were she will be next year.
