We're a couple, visiting on a winery roadtrip. $5 for tastings, refundable with a bottle purchase (entirely fair). Winery itself had a nice view of the lake, and a patio to boot -- you could order a tasting flight and enjoy the view on the patio, but there weren't any food / snack options to pair with.
We detected a whiff of attitude from the hosts, slightly impersonable service for our taste. Perhaps it was too busy for them to juggle 3-4 tastings at a time, and we certainly don't wish everybody to hold this against them. Only writing on what we experienced and felt in all honesty.
The wines themselves merit the awards, from our (beginner) tastes. The Montage (red blend) was particularly smooth, but all of their tasting wines had won awards of some sort.
It was a good stop, which is to say average for the area. If you have one of their wines on your to-do list, or heard the awards, give it a try. If you happen to skip it along your wine route, you weren't missing a ton.
