Description: Penticton's newest hot spot, from Chef Paul Cecconi and his wife Holly, Brodo Kitchen features simply fresh food. Enjoy a bowl of soup, fresh salad, a "sammie" or a combination of all three, made from locally-sourced ingredients that reflect what's fresh from the harvest. Unique to Penticton, cuddle up with a "flight of soups", three charming bowls ranging from cool gazpacho to classic French onion to tasty chilli. Brodo aims to tempt your taste buds with the Okanagan, reflecting the bounty of the land; there's even an urban cultivator on site providing fresh herbs, with ingredients coming from local orchards and farms, and wine from nearby vineyards.Grab a healthy fresh juice straight from the cooler -- Chef Paul loves to experiment with his juicer -- and linger at Brodo's communal table with friends over lunch. Daily specials are made with the best, freshest local ingredients, and our regular menu changes with the seasons. Join Brodo for dinner specials on Friday and Saturday nights, the mouth-watering smells from the kitchen will surely draw you in from anywhere in downtown Penticton. Brodo is fast and fresh. Can't stay? If you're in a hurry, grab some soup from the cooler for dinner, and we'll gladly wrap a sandwich or dish out a salad to pair with it. Don't forget to take home some of our homemade preserves, both savoury and sweet versions, for yourself, or as a grab-and-go hostess gift. Open 11am to 8pm for lunch and dinner, closed Sundays, Brodo offers free wifi and is in the heart of downtown Penticton. “Great lunch (and a nice light supper)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2014

We were delighted to stop here for lunch after reading the TripAdvisor reviews. The owner welcomed us and explained everything on the menu. I chose a cauliflower and sushi rice salad with a glass of white wine. Each mouthful of the salad provided an explosion of fresh tastes. Crunchy apple, chopped mint, etc. It was really lovely. My husband had their variation on a Reuben sandwich which he really enjoyed. As we were leaving it occurred to us we could get dinner dealt with as well. We bought a 16 ounce carton of onion soup, an 'appy' side of fresh olives, two chunks of cornbread (incredibly good), and two big ginger cookies. We took it all back to our hotel (we had a kitchen so could heat up the soup) and that evening had a wonderful, simple and relaxing supper. We will most certainly return.

“Hopping place, great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2014

We went for a quick lunch on a snowy Penticton day. The restaurant, as always, was very busy. You line up, place your order, take your table and they call your number. There were no tables available, but a table of ladies celebrating a birthday invited us to join their table - which we did. The food is always delicious, inventive and comforting. Don't hesitate to try this place. The hard part is not getting stuck on ordering your favourite dish.

“As advertised”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2014

I have friends in the area who rave about this place. I've been twice for lunch & had the sandwich special both times and tasted the soups & salads my wife is partial to. The portions were not huge, but they were decent and the food was inventive and tasty. Friendly staff. Rustic-chic chunky wood & steel décor suits lunch better than dinner. Lunch time (no reservations) can be very busy even in the off-season, though waiting for a table is not too daunting a prospect. You order at the cash & often there's a table available when the food comes out. A decent selection of beer, wine & non-alcoholic drinks. It's on my go-to list whenever I'm in Penticton.

“Enthusiastic people and food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014 via mobile

Liam just whipped us up a fabulous little dessert, off menu, prepared with creativity and enthusiasm. Quince jam and thyme on a little cake with raspberry semi frado. This is a food enthusiast's type of place. Can I add that it's stylishly decorated?! Several days a week we're glad Brodo opened up.

“Yummy GF pasta :)”

Very accommodating for our gluten free needs and super tasty! I think that was the best pasta I've had in a long time. Great rustic and funky decor.
