We liked the display and models of the surrounding land and water which gave you a real feeling of a different type of travel not so long ago.

“Cool little local museum”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

This was one of those let's stop and check it out kind of experiences and we were not really sure what to expect. As it turns out the ship is pretty amazing and the restoration work that has been done to it is beautiful. If you take the time to stop and read all the signs you get the full picture of the history of the area and the ship. It was a little strange to see other exhibits inside the ship, including a model railway layout, a room dedicated to local photography and another dedicated to the local hockey team but all in all worth the change you spend to tour it. My only issue with the boat was that the staff did not seem very willing to engage us past asking for our money.

“A must-see in Penticton”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

Wide variety of interesting exhibits, historical objects and photos. You get an authentic feeling of what it was like to travel on a paddle-wheel steamer. Check out the captains and crew quarters, passenger cabins and the boiler room and steam engine. If you are into old tug boats, a volunteer will tour you thru the steam tug that's alongside.

“Excellent Museum”
Reviewed July 27, 2012

The scale model railway depicting the KVR is worth the visit. The Sicamous is lovingly cared for and in a beautiful setting right on the beach.
