Unfortunately, I think we picked the wrong area. We went on a Friday in September to the south - Osoyoos region. Looking at the prices of their tours to the other areas, this is is the most expensive tour and probably the least scenic. It also seems to be the furthest which may be the reason for the cost. $125 (plus tax) was a lot for only five wineries and way too much time in the van. I also felt like we spent too much time at the VQA store and could have gone to at least one or two other wineries instead. On the positive side, Dino was great, our lunch was delicious, and door to door service was fantastic.

It is unfortunate that you feel you picked the wrong destination. Compared to costs with other tour companies (many much higher and not including lunch), and considering the time/distance covered by the South Okanagan experience, we feel that we continue to offer exceptional service at a reasonable price. We are very pleased that you found our guide, Dino, to be great as well as the lunch. As far a being "scenic," we respect your viewpoint as it is a personal opinion, much like evaluating wine.
To acknowledge your comments and to show appreciation for your feedback, we would like to offer you a 10% discount for a different tour should you choose to return. Thank you for your comments. Cheers!

We took a full day wine tasting tour with Dino this summer on Naramata. It was absolutely incredible compared to past tours with other companies, here are just a few of the reasons:
-He started our tour at the local VQA store so everyone was up to speed on how to taste wines properly and to share some general information about the wine growing region (brief but fantastic overview)
-He is friendly and very willing to work with clients to make it the perfect day.
-He knew more about wine, wine making, and wine growing than many of the winery staff we visited, but shared all his information in a very light-hearted and interesting way. So many anecdotal tales about the local industry and wine in general that I learned a ton about wine and winemaking without realizing it. The day was great fun and all the learning was a happy byproduct.
-He brought along the best snacks - good thinking and much needed after about the 4th winery...
-He is well connected and well liked in the wine community. He was able to score us a rare tasting at a winery that doesn't usually offer tastings.
-His passion for the community and wine industry comes through and you can't help but get excited by association.

I have recommended Grape Escapes to everyone I know looking to do a wine tour in the Okanagan. I will absolutely tour with him again.

Really lovely, friendly and knowledgeable tour operator/guide. Lives locally, so understands the geography and history with real insight, and delivers with relevance to my interests.
Picked us up on time from Indian rock, which is a ways away from the area we toured, provided a fantastic snack of crackers, lovely cheeses and grapes for our journey. The lunch at a winery was included in the price, and thus cannot be matched for value by any other competitor. Would highly recommend to a novice or experienced wine buff.

We spent a full day with Dino touring the Naramata Bench Wineries in August. It was a great way to spend the day with friends, try some wines, and expand our understanding of wines. Dino made us feel right at home and had a wealth of knowledge to share. Dino keeps it interesting and provided a nice touch with an assortment of cheeses, chocolates and other snacks during our journey. Thanks Dino.

We took a full day wine tour of the Naramata Bench Wineries with Dino as our guide. It started out with a 'how-to' of wine tasting at the 'Church of Wine', which was incredibly helpful, as we were complete newbies at this.
There was a great variety of wineries, and Dino made sure to inquire before our tour what exactly we were wanting to see/taste in terms of types of wineries - from the well established, to the brand new, to the rather eclectic.
We had lunch at Hillside Winery which was delicious.
There were yummy snacks provided en route and the van was large and comfortable. Our guide was a deep well of knowledge and gave us good background on each winery we visited.
It was such a great day with good food, good weather, good company, and great wines.
We will definitely be doing this again!
