Booked at this hotel because we were booking last minute and our plans were kind of up in the air and the better hotels in town (Coast, Ramada) didn't have any rooms available. The rate we paid was $143 before tax which I suppose isn't bad for a vacation town in July but the public spaces and the room were really not worth that much. This hotel is two storeys but doesn't have an elevator, has an indoor and an outdoor pool but both close at 9pm, has outdated furniture and decor in the rooms (tacky brass lamps with forest green pleated shades) and spotty wifi. I'm not sure about all rooms but ours didn't have a desk; instead there was a small dining table and two chairs which was not ideal for working on a computer. The TV was an old CRT type, the toilet paper provided was the worst kind ever and it was under lock and key and there were only flimsy plastic cups in the room, no real glasses.

The room did have a small fridge that included a freezer which is good if you're travelling with a cooler and want to refreeze your ice packs.

We stayed here whilst visiting the wineries in the area. Our young kids were lugged from winery to winery through out the day, so they were thrilled to arrive at the motel to find a heated outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by loads of grass and a fun sprinkler fountain section.

Of an evening the other people staying were very friendly chatting from their balconies and the rooms were large with comfy beds and a real bath.

One down side is the lack of cups and cutlery in the room, however these were found by the night receptionist.

We booked in for a one night stay with our dog. We asked specifically about not being close to hockey teams. We were told firstly that there were no teams staying. However after we'd taken a room, we were told that not only was there a hockey team, but that they were just along the corridor, and assured that we "probably wouldn't hear them."
At 10pm (after we'd settled in for the night), the boys arrived back to the hotel and proceeded to play video games, loudly, in the room right next door to us! We asked reception if there was another room that we could be moved to, but were told that, because of the dog, we couldn't be moved...... so we moved to another hotel.... at 10:30pm. Very annoying to have to get dressed, pack up and move.
We felt that we had been conned. They must have known about the hockey team, and which rooms they were in, and yet they weren't honest about it. We think that they figured that once we were in the room, we'd just put up with it for one night! No way!
On a brighter note, they hotel was nice and clean and reasonably priced, and they did welcome the dog. I have nothing against teenagers, just not right next door to me!

Have stayed here many times over the years. Nice rooms/ service for the price. Its right across the road from the start of the canal so thats handy if its part of your plan. probably a ten minute walk to downtown where the bars and nightlife etc is.

After reading the reviews, I've decided to stay at Days Inns for its reasonable price and easy-to-find location. I've also requested a room on the second floor as I am very sensitive to noise. This turned out to be a great decision as there was a team of youngsters (possibly some kind of sports team) staying there for the night, but I couldn't hear any noise at all.

Check-in was smooth, although i was a little surprised that Days Inn has already charged a full night on my credit two days prior to my arrival. So please be aware of their cancellation policy if you weren't sure of your itinerary. We were also given a coupon (2nd entree free) for the Black Iron Grill Restaurant which is adjacent to the hotel. This restaurant turned out to be a nice surprise for our dinner.

There is no elevator in this hotel. It was ok for us as we didn't have a lot of luggages. Room was clean and spacious. The mountain view was very pleasing. Internet was free and had no issues. If they could upgrade the TV to a flat screen, that would make the room perfect.

Complimentary breakfast was average with no big surprise. Check out was fast and efficient. I would stay here again.
