We spent 4 nights at Tiki Shores and we were really impressed. We purposely went after labour day so the price was right, the weather was great, we enjoyed the pool and the beach. The staff were great to us and the private patio with a bbq was fantastic. We're definitely going back next year.

We recently stay at Tiki Shores for 3 nights. We found the rooms to be very clean and the resort quiet. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We arrived early and we able to check in right away. We were also able to leave our vehicle there over night while we were on another excursion.
Fantastic service! We will definitely stay here again.

I found this place online about 4 years ago.. we always book their 3 bedroom suite. Great suite with an amazing patio right across from the Okanagan lake, with a full kitchen and an outdoor BBQ. The location is great... right across from the Okanagan lake, close to river and the casino and about 10 min walk to downtown. The Staff are so friendly and extremely helpful if you need anything. Overall we had nothing but a great experience there and we definitely recommend this place for a family vacation or just a weekend with friends

Room Tip: Totally recommend their 3 bedroom suite.. great patio with a view of the lake and awesome for people...

I have just spent 2 nights at the TIKI SHORES and I do not think I will EVER go back.
The value is DEFINITELY not there for the price asked for a night.
I went with my 2 kids last week and basically what the room had to offer for them to sleep on (beside my bedroom) was a 2/3 inches mattress thick coming off a sofa. They complained the first night about how super uncomfortable it was and I ended up sleeping on it (a sleepless night basically ) the second night.
Also for that kind of money asked( I understand the high season but still) the owner/s of the place should have the decency of offering a much bigger TV screen in every room and not only in some. What was in our room was a TV screen smaller the my computer screen at home. If this is consider a family like resort, they should know that after a whole day at the beach, the kinds love to chill out in front of the TV before dinner.
On a positive note, it is right across the lake, the rest of the room was passable with a kitchenette fully functional to cook a meal.

Room Tip: book your hotel for Penticton earlier in year (march april at least) to get the best value

Great location, thats what you pay for. Don't be prepared to be greeted by the nicest people out there or get any rest because if your neighbor farts you will hear it. I'm convinced any positive postings on here about the staff are by the staff, anyone I talked to at the motel had the same stories about how rude and unhelpful they were it was a huge joke(exception only to the night caretaker, he was nice enough to find us some blankets and pillows for the broken hideabed in our room) The dishes are all disgusting, pretty sure they're quickly rinsed to give them a nice surface cleaning by the last patron to avoid the $10 fine for any dirty dishes left behind. No parking. The place is musty and stinks like mold, you will hear everything your neighbor upstairs does in the middle of the night, everything.... To top it all off you will also be charged $75 for not returning the keys to the front desk, which is hard to do when you want to checkout before 9am because they don't open before then. Avoid this place.

I've stayed at this hotel 2 times now. We absolutely love it. It's a great location right by the beach. Both times we stayed here our rooms were very nice. Most of all the employees were so nice. I usually go to penticton every summer I think we'll be staying here every year.

Right on the beachfront the location of this motel is great for the beach and walking to town. The motel itself is okay, as stated, for one night. It was quite expensive for what it was but then it was July when we were there. We managed to get parked as we were there at 3pm for check in. Check in girl was friendly and efficient and gave us the code to use the free internet. The room was musty, quite dated, bed was small but pretty comfortable, bathroom was average and also needed renovating and walls were thin. Kitchen facilities okay with a working kettle, fridge and microwave. Rooms quite spacious with a separate kitchen/lounge area. It would be less fine if you planned to stay in all day! The motel pool was heated and clean/well maintained, we did not use the BBQ area. There was a crepe van in the morning but no bar area in evening.

Not a vast amount to do in Penticton and we would probably not stay here again as we could just pop to Blackpool! Peachland is a nicer resort. There are not loads of places to eat in the area but I woud recommend the Black Iron Grill and Steakhouse which is about 5-10mins walk for a pub type meal which was good value and service was great.

Penticton is quite a quirky place, perhaps I just didn't get the vibe.
