Description: Named after the rare and reclusive North American duck that shares its name (and flew onto the restaurant patio during name selection) the Hooded Merganser is a culinary and architectural masterpiece that straddles Okanagan Lake to offer panoramic views of the lake and mountains.Inside, the décor is luxurious, the atmosphere is casual and the menu diverse yet surprisingly reasonable: contemporary local cuisine and phenomenal views of the Okanagan Valley.

Im allergic to eggs. They charged $15 for a christmas buffet. This limited me to granola, yogurt, fruit, bacon, sausage and fries. Coffee was $2.50 extra. All the food was cold. Save your money and go down the street to Denny's. At least you can get a grand slam for under $10 with tip.

The food is good, the service is fast and friendly. The view is what makes the meal, especially in the summer when you can score a spot on the patio.

The view is just spectacular. Food is great! Had crab salad appetizer. Pretty good, but portion is too small. Asked them for a surprised non-alcoholic drink which turned out pretty good. They should also put a non-alcoholic drink list which is missing. The Chicken club was pretty good and filling. Finished it with a Biscotti dessert with strawberries and chocolate cake . The best one I've had. It was even too pretty to eat it. Staff/s are very helpful with the menu.
