“Excellent value”

A full meal deal for a reasonable price including soup or salad, pasta entree and dessert. Try the mizithra cheese, rich but so tasty!

“What you'd expect”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

The food was not really bad, but not reallyl good. The dominant flavour was salt. The portions were generous, and the price OK, but remember that this is a generic chain, not real Italian food. It is what it is.

“Good value”

The choices are limited, but the food is good if you like Italian and the decor is very amusing. Fun for a family or large group.

“Expensive, Slow, not Great”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

We have returned here time and time again hoping the last experiences were the exceptions and not the norm and with each new visit, comes new disspointment. First off, the bread is always terrible. You cut the bread with the tiny little knife they give you and the bread squishes down to the cutting board, never to rise again. The bread tastes like it was made with little effort at all and is bland. The prices are expensive. The pasta sauce is lame. It is boring and basically tastes just like blended tomatoes heated on the stove. The mushrooms are directly out of the can and the garlic is not the real kind of garlic and is probably garlic paste. The waitress was freindly and that is about all. It is such a shame. Such a long term restaurant and a lower mainlain icon has never found itself and stumbles along year after to year after year relying solely on tourists and an older crowd that does not know any better. I am surprised they can even exist anymore. The place has potential but it no where near to achieving its potential.

“Great value and great for families and groups”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

It's been a while since I have been here. But I called on Sunday for a reservation, which they took on short notice. They have since renovated the back corner, which now has a window wall looking at the new development behind the restaurant, and the tables in the area are on a raised floor.

The food is always good - variety of pastas, and other meat and vegetarian dishes. Main entrees include soup or salad, sourdough bread, and spumoni ice cream. Kids meals are reasonable, and they have a smaller items in their lunch menu. Pretty much all of their non-alcoholic drinks are refillable.

Service is always good, and prompt. Parking can be tough, as there is only street parking. There are a couple of parking lots nearby.

This is a chain, so they have other locations in western Canada.
