Came here for a birthday dinner as we wanted to choose a more classy restaurant than the typical family, crowded, noisy restaurants. There is not a lot of traditional Chinese decoration other than the red laterns and a "prosperity" scroll. The staff are bilingual and spoke English well. The service is better than the typical Chinese restaurants which is what I would expect from any Kirin restaurant. We started with the Kirin appetizer platter (#1 on the menu) and enjoyed everything there. Also ordered the rock cod but felt it was overcooked (over steamed) so it was a little tough. The soy sauce was not as savoury as I would expect. You should come to Kirin for the atmosphere rather than the food as I'm sure there are better restaurants at better prices. Ample free parking as it shares a parkade with the Starlight Casino.
