We stopped off here after this restaurant was recommended by the camp director Agnes after we dropped off our daughter at Camp Narnia near Parksville. It was fabulous. Great food and unique and lovely park-like setting among flowers, lawn, trees. The restaurant was so crowded that we shared a table with people, which turned out to be a great experience. We've had that kind of seating happen in Europe, and it is such a great way to get to know people and to share common ideas. We had a great time. I understand why they don't want people younger than 18 (maybe because they serve beer and wine), but the setting is outdoors (although you can grab a table inside the historic pub), and I would think that alcohol served this way would not be a problem. That was the only drawback for us, in that we realized we could not bring our daughter and her friend there post-Camp Narnia. Really good food, good portions, nice beer and wine list. And it was only about 15-20 minutes from the Departure Bay ferry terminal. In fact, one of our table mates led us there in her car, for she said the directions were a bit tricky. But mapping out this place first would have been easy.
