The room was comfortable and offered everything we needed but overall the hotel could do with a major face lift. Also there are no elevators so if you have a lot of luggage try and get a ground floor room. A complimentary breakfast is provided (eggs, bacon, toast) or you can use your ticket to get $4.50 off one of their menu items. The French Toast was delicious. Tim Hortons is across the street and the hotel is in a pretty good location.

Room Tip: If you have lots of baggage choose the ground floor as there are no elevators.

We stayed in this hotel on Wednesday for 2 nights and we were glad to leave it. The hotel itself is fine in regrds to the standard you recieve. Plus they are 1 of the few hotels to offer a hot breakfast, and use to the gym next door. The Location is pretty good as you can easily walk to downtown within a few minutes. Value for money is ok, but here is my complaint and if im honest ill never stay in another HJ again... The place is way to noisy,we could hear the people in the room next to us just talking normal and we could hear everything, as if they were in the same room as us. I even heard him pull the zipper on his bag. Then that night I could hear him very clearly coughing up his lungs in his bathroom, he might as well been in my room. It was that clear. It was horrible. The hotel badly needs some sound proofing. We're paying good money for these hotels, i think its the least they could provide us with. Also on the noise.. We could hear them cleaning above us and you'd think they were using a hammer!! Well nosiy. And the beds were not great, again we didnt sleep too good.. For the cost of this place id tell people to drive on and pick another hotel for the same money and location area you'll get a better deal. The staff were nice doh.

Room Tip: Dont be disappointed iif you dont get for what you asked for. We asked for a room with a view and got one with a view of the carpark.. not a big deal I know but just thought id share this..

I must say that when I arrived I wasn't certain about the place. However, right from initial reception the service was excellent. I was put in a "home office" room which was large and clean. There was ample room for charging electronics and for working. The bed was comfortable. I ate dinner and breakfast in the attached restaurant - service was excellent - the food was good - not gourmet, but very good for the price. Overall a very positive experience. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is old, worn and tired, and badly in need of reno's. That being said it was kept clean and our stay there was fine. We travelled with a group of families attending a baseball tournament. We had rooms backing the swimming pool. The pool area was a great place for our families to hang out between games. The harbour location was amazing for us prairie types. You just had to walk down a short path to be ocean side on walking paths in either direction. Many good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel offered a complimentary, good hot breakfast option. A few days, service was very slow, but the hotel was full at this time, so they did their best.
Overall decent place to stay if you aren't spending much time in your room.

Room Tip: main floor rooms with pool access are perfect for groups

We arrived as a walk-in client ans were greated by a friendly reception agent. The lobby was nicely decorated with Christmas decorations. The rooms were clean, with a beautiful ocean view. Pet friendly was a bonus.

Room Tip: Ask for ocean view
