We enjoyed a 4 night stay in a very spacious room with fabulous jacuzzi tub. Very clean and very comfortable --- enjoyed the private entrance. Gordie and Janice were very welcoming and helpful hosts. Planning a trip back in the fall!!

We had a great time at this Bed & Breakfast. The room had a great tub in and we loved it. The bed is very soft and big. The fireplace was a nice touch. Our breakfast was tasty and the hosts where great. We enjoyed our visit to this Bed & Breakfast.

We booked one night in the Arbutus Room on our way over to Tofino.

Janice and Gordie were great hosts, making us feel very welcome, recommending a great restaurant.

The room was really clean and comfortable, with a huge bathroom and small kitchen area. Great view of the lake. The use of the hot tub, down on the deck by the lake was also a great surprise. If you have time there are also canoes to borrow.

We were the only people staying with Janice and Gordie that night, and in the morning they joined us for breakfast, which was great. Would certainly recommend.

Our Stay in the Madrona suit was amazing, Gordie and Janice were very accommodating. They cooked an excellent breakfast and treated us like like friends as well as guests. They made some great recommendations of local attractions and made sure we had a good time. The room was also amazing with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake and a jacuzzi, fireplace, and king size bed. The location is great as well, close to everything (what isn't in nanaimo though) and easy to find, but still far enough out so you don't hear traffic noise.

I definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone inquiring.

In sept. we had a lovely stay with Gordie and Janice . It was a pity we only could stay one night because it was full booked. We just arrived at Vancouver Island and they gave us very good tips about what to see and do on the Island. We can recommend this Bed & Breakfast.

We enjoyed all of our trip to Vancouver Island but especially our stay at "Long Lake Waterfront B&B". Gordie & Janice certainly made us feel welcome and at home. The Breakfasts were special not only for the food but also for the friendly company. We can still picture the spectacular view of the Lake from anywhere in our room and will always remember the special treat Gordie gave us with the "Sea doo" ride.

Our stay at "Long Lake B&B" reaffirmed our reason for choosing B&B's as lodging when we travel. This B&B is a "must stay" if you are visiting Vancouver Island.

We have just returned from a great weekend that included a night at the Long Lake Waterfront Bed & Breakfast in Nanaimo. We came upon this by chance & what fantastic luck that turned out to be. Gordie & Janice are certainly some of the finest B&B hosts you could ever ask for & the accomidations are top notch by all standards. As we all know, it can be hit & miss with choices, but this a definate return stay option for us. We only stayed one night & as fate would have it for this 3 bedroom accomidation. All couples including newlyweds sat down for an excellent breafast prepared by Master Chef Gord. Where not only did we have a great time sharing experinces, but found out that this paticular day for everyone staying the night, was a shared anniversary date being seperated by 0, 10 & 20 years. What's the chances of that! I guess maybe alot when you stay in places like this.
