We've eaten at Joey Kelowna several times, and each time we are pleased. The decor is very contemporary, but nicely understated. The wait staff is all young and female and wearing black cocktail dresses. They remind me of the Robert Palmer video with the women playing guitars and dressed in black cocktail dresses. Anyway, we have been happy with the table service each time we've been there.
The food is yummy. In particular, the Tandoori Chicken Flatbread is heavenly, with a bouquet of different flavors. It may not appeal to those with a more bland palate but for those who love interesting and new flavors, you've got to try it.
Also, the French Dip. The beef is cooked over a 17-hour period and melts in your mouth. My husband orders this every time we go there.
The Chicken Souvlaki is delicious and really flavorful, but the spicing may be hard on sensitive tummies. If you don't have a sensitive tummy, this is a great choice.
The California Chicken Club is really good, but I found this dish to be oily and the flavor, while delicious, becomes tiresome after several bites. This sounds strange, but it's true nonetheless.
Coffee is served on a lovely little tray with a tiny creamer - very nice touch.
All in all, we will continue to go to Joey's, which although a bit more expensive, is definitely worth the extra cost!
