“Relaxation in Purple”
Reviewed July 24, 2012

On a hot July afternoon, after a 2 hour canyon hike, our group of four decided to enjoy some refreshments and a stroll through the lavendar gardens. We were pleasantly surprised to find that while there were many varieties of lavendar growing, many of flowers were also in the gardens.
After paying a nominal fee, which can be reimbursed towards purchases from the gift shop, we took a walk through the very fragrant blossoms just beginning to be harvested. There were many bees buzzing among the flowers but none came near us, even when we stood between the lavendar mounds to take pictures. We spoke with one friendly staff member working in the gardens who seemed to take delight in demonstrating then instructing us on how to use the scythe when cutting the flower stalks.
Eventually the sun got to us so we returned to the small and shaded outdoor cafe, overlooking the gardens, to enjoy lavendar treats - ice tea, scones and shortcake. A very lovely way to spend an afternoon.

“Very relaxing and a fun little field trip.”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

Try their lavender ice cream and lemonade and just chill on the farm for a bit. Avoid going in the middle of the day since there is no shade and the sun can be really scorching. Definitely bring sunscreen.

“Beautiful Gardens”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

The gardens are beautiful and the store had lots of unique lavender products. I thought that 5.50 was a little steal for a self guided tour of the garden!

“Unforgettable!”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

The lavender is all in bloom right now. You get to walk through the gardens and pick a bouquet if you want. The photo ops at every turn are amazing. The honey bees are bustling away, not at all interested in the people! I stood still for awhile and just listened... I felt like I was in a hive, I heard all the bees working and the only other things I heard were crickets and birds chirping and of course the lovely fragrance of the lavender. A moment I will never forget! Totally a spirtual experience!

We go every year and take a stroll. The kids love it. We've bought nice gifts from the little store.
