We have been staying with Louise and Andy for so many years now that I can't remember how long it's been. It's our home away from home. You are so cared for and pampered you know you are with friends who truly care about you and about making your stay a memorable experience. The breakfasts are fantastic, the rooms large and ultra clean, the bed very comfortable and falling asleep to the quiet sound of the lake water lapping to the shore makes you forget you are in the city close to all amenities. Our hosts are so very accommodating that we consider our experiences with them as holidays with friends. We would not dream of staying anywhere else.

Staying at the Lakeshore B&B was like staying at a relative's house. Unlike some B&Bs, the lake house is Andy and Louise's beautiful home so there is no real separation between common and private areas. Therefore, you feel more like a guest staying in a private home than at an Inn.

The location of the house is great and the guest room was quite spacious with a HUGE bathroom, a seating area with a TV/DVD player, and the bedroom itself (with a door separating it from the seating area). The yard is filled with gorgeous flowers and has lots of areas to sit and relax. Unfortunately, it rained the entire time we were there so we really didn't get to enjoy the outdoor amenities that led us to this bed and breakfast on the lake in the first place.

The home is directly on Okanagan Lake, so you have a nice view, but is in a quieter residential area which means you can avoid all the usual crowds in Kelowna. It’s only a 5 minute drive though to some great local restaurants (Casa Hector for Mexican and Cabana), and we had some of the best meals of our whole vacation in Kelowna. There are tons of wineries to explore, but we highly recommend the Quails Gate winery. The tour is excellent and so are the gourmet sandwiches from the little log cabin on the property.

Louise whipped up a good breakfast each morning, although I wish we would have been given a couple choices on what we'd prefer to eat for the main dish (rather than being told, I'm serving such and such). Of course, that could be just because I'm a somewhat picky eater.

Bottom line is that we loved the property and location. The only real advice we'd give to travelers is that if you are an extremely private person, then this B&B probably isn't for you because you are literally in someone else's house which means no separate guest common areas and hence little privacy or peaceful quiet time. Louise likes to talk and so do we so we thought it was fine, but I could see how it could be a problem if you just want to relax.

We stayed at Lakeshore B&B - Kelowna whilst traveling from Vancover to Banff. We had no idea what Kelowna was like and was only using it as stopover. We were very impressed with the area. It is so picturesque with the greenery of the vineyards and the soft fruit plantations. The locla produce on sale at the roadside was excellent and incredibly cheap. The lake at Kelowna was well developed but not at all tacky.
We had booked the Lake View room and it was fantastic. It was huge!!! Beautiful furniture with very tasteful furnishings. The en-suite was bigger than some hotel rooms we have stayed in. We had our own private balcony overlooking the lake.
Downstairs was a large patio deck with comfy seats to enjoy the bottle of cooled wine we had bought. Thy even had a small refrigerator on the decking for your wine. The large garden went straight to the waters edge and the views across the lake were stunning.
Our hosts, Louise and Andy, were very welcoming and their hospitality was second to none.
We had breakfast in a separate dining room and the food prepared by Louise was outstanding. She clearly is a very talented cook
We were very disappointed that we had only booked 1 night at Kelowna. If we visit the area again we will stay much longer.
Lakeshore B&B is probably the nicest place we have ever stayed and the Lakeview Room is stunning.

We have just returned from our second visit to the Lakeshore B & B, and have booked again for next year. The location is perfect - right on the lake. There are beautiful patios, gardens, and lawns sweeping down to the beach. The rooms (we have stayed in both) are spotless. The beds and linens are high quality. We have saved one of the best features for last - Louise's breakfasts! Generous quantities including lots of fresh fruit and home baking. Coffee is always ready early to enjoy with the hosts and other guests at the dining table (also with lake view). We highly recommend the Lakeshore!

The B&B was a visual feast! The house was charming- the rooms were spacious and comfortable and included large closets and adjoining sitting rooms. The bathrooms were spotless and huge.

Our hosts were very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating! Our breakfasts included fresh fruit and baked goods, including delicious cherries!! We had a very relaxing time enjoying the gardens, which were spectacular, and the beach-front view. Our hosts were very generous and provided kayaks and lawn chairs to enhance our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our B&B experience at the Lakeshore and would gladly stay again!!

What's not to love about this B&B? Wonderful hosts, delicious food, beautiful view and your own private beach! The pictures of this house on their website do not do the rooms justice. My husband and I stayed in the Spruceview room, and that room was gorgeous. Fully air conditioned and it included a large sitting room with flat screen tv and dvd. We also had a private (and huge) ensuite. I can only imagine how wonderful the Lakeview room would be with it's own private balcony facing the lake. My husband and I spent our Sunday morning on the two kayaks that Louise and Andy have available for their guests free of charge. And after, instead of going down to the crowded public beaches, we went swimming just off the shore of the B&B's private beach. The hosts are friendly and full of interesting tidbits about the area, and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts with the other guests. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks Louise and Andy for a wonderful Okanagan experience!

Louise and Andy were great hosts. The 2 rooms were every bit as nice as in the photos. Our friends were in the rear room which was wonderful with a large balcony overlooking the garden and beach area. Our room, at the front of the house, was beautifuly furnished very spacious and spotless. The only critisism I could make, if I had to make one, was the bit of traffic noise from our room. I would not hesitate to return but given the choice would request the rear room. Louise is a great cook and I only wish we could also have had an evening meal there! The breakfasts were superb!
Thank you Louise and Andy for a lovely break
