When we drove in and were immediately shocked as we were in an overcrowded 500+ unit trailer court. In my 18 years being a timeshare owner; I have never been so disappointed with RCI. We started in unit 163B; it had a stained carpet, odour, the window did not open and facing parking lot. We asked to be moved - they came and forced opened the window and offered to spray for the odour. We asked again to be moved - we were moved to 181B; a slightly larger room again facing parking lot. The unit was outdated; decor was more than 20 years old (chair label said 1992); fixtures were dated, finishes were gone, bathroom tap contained soap scum. The unit had ants, spiders and other bugs. One pool was under construction and the 2nd was small and was used by the entire trailer court as well as the condos. The units for RCI appeared to have permanent residents evident by name plates, gardens and personal belongings outside the units. The unit was not sound proof. A roadside motel would have been more attractive than this unit. I phoned RCI directly to be moved but they couldn’t accommodate anything in the Okanagan Valley so offered a rebate of the exchange fee. Although, a refund was a nice offer, remaining in this unit made our 1st experience in this valley a negative one.

We just returned from a wonderful week in a studio lockoff unit that was fully stocked with everything for our needs.....Friendly and helpful staff at check-in and great food at Ricardo's. Everyone was friendly at the resort, from security to homeowners to even the maintenance help. Room was clean and beds were quite comfortable....Plenty to do on-site (pitch and putt golf, swimming, hot tubs, clean barbeques) and close to Wood Lake and Lake Country wineries. The resort is located on Duck Lake, with fishing, swimming, water skiing and kayak/canoeing opportunities. Many of the park's residents were already headed South for the winter, so it wasn't very busy, but it still promoted a "laid back" lifestyle that we enjoy when vacationing.

There was so much to do at this resort! Pools, hot tubs, sports, boating, golfing. Our room was a bit small and outdated but was very clean. We spent such a small amount of time in our room anyways! We even rented a golf cart to zip around in. The resort had events such as bingo and an outdoor movie. We met several wonderful people both guests and residents. Staff was friendly and helpful. My husband and I would love to go back but with the kids next time. It was also close to many beaches and attractions. Be sure to check out the painted turtles from the boat dock when you stay!!!!

We exchanged our timeshare week at this resort through Interval International. The Interval International Certificate claimed that our ‘unit’ would be a studio without AC. Unfortunately, the ‘unit’ (Unit B) was a huge disappointment from beginning to end. It was actually a second bedroom of an adjacent unit and consisted of a queen bed, small kitchenette, bathroom, two extremely uncomfortable armchairs, a small round dining table with two equally uncomfortable chairs, a closet and a bathroom with a tub. The room had a tired looking feel to it and could use a bit of an upgrade.

The main unit (Unit A) was only occupied from Monday through Thursday. Mostly, we didn’t have anything to do with our neighbours (a group of older men); however, when they turned the AC on in their unit, we were freezing to death because we were not able to control the temperature. When we mentioned it to the front desk clerk, she insisted that we too had AC in our unit and all we had to do was turn it on. Well, we tried to turn a unit under the TV on when we arrived, but it blasted hot air. The clerk did agree that the control was in the main unit.

We could hear the neighbours, but all was well, as they were very civilized…until Thursday night, that is. They decided to invite some male friends and do bit of jamming. And jam they did – VERY loud noise with musical instrument AND singing. When one of them asked me next morning if they were too loud, I only replied: “Well…” We did mention it to the clerk and she suggested that we call the security if it should happen again.

I should mention the resort, or should I say, an RV Park, did have all sorts of activities and most people seem to like it there; however, not having decent accommodation spoiled it for us. We are glad we survived the week and will make sure to stay away from similar properties/so-called units.

Room Tip: Unless travelling with family/friends, do NOT book a Unit B.

We wanted to use an Interval week close to home (Vancouver). No 2 bdrms. were available using Interval so we accepted a 1 bedroom June 7 to 14, which we found very comfortable for the 2 of us. Everything we needed. Spotless condo and looked new. I will agree with others that the living room colours are not my choice but very serviceable re wear. This resort is unique. As a guest, you share the property with RV home owners, RV travellers, fulltime condo owners, renters and timeshare guest. It works! Everyone feels welcome
After reading some older reviews re ground maintenance, I realize the guests must have arrived early season before Winter Cleanup. There is a big difference re any gardens, green areas, exteriors when Winter finally ends and Spring arrives in the Okanagan. The grounds, shrubbery, recreation areas were in excellent shape. The condos looked out onto well maintained lawns and shrubs.
What we really enjoyed was strolling each evening along the RV home lanes (all meticulously maintained) as each site has a garden which reflects the owners individuality and each garden has its own character and 'characters'. These gardens are unique in presentation and could be part of a 'specialized garden' tour.
re the restaurant on site: it's delicious, popular (make a reservation) and when there was a mistake made re my meal (it can happen on a busy night) they were very generous in making it right.
Yes, we will return. We toured the 2 mega resorts on the lake full of tour buses, crowds, long halls, glamour, etc. and were glad to return to our quiet lovely surrounding and comfortable condo. Ignore any negative comments from previous guests.

Room Tip: Relax..and don't expect a 5* mega resort..it's a shared use property that is Home to owners...

We used an Interval Exchange using Diamond Points and after a not very nice experience in Vancouver and a horrendous drive (it was the bank holiday weekend so think M25 through the Rockies) we arrived at the resort which is situated between Kelowna and Winfield. Check-in was very efficient and we were soon settled into our studio apartment. This was a large first floor unit, a bit old fashioned think 70’s chintz but it did have air conditioning, a ceiling fan and insect screens on the windows. There was a fairly comfortable double bed, small dining table and chairs and two very comfortable armchairs and a flat screen TV although the channels available were pretty limited, we however paid for Internet about 35$ for the week for 2 devices, but this enabled access throughout the complex so we were able to access Internet music etc. There was a small kitchen area with a very small fridge/freezer and a plug in 2 ring hob, kettle and microwave so limited cooking facilities. There was a reasonable size bathroom with over bath shower. What was missing was any outside space especially as the temp hit nearly 40 at times. The rooms were reasonable clean and the cleaners came in once a week but the 'cleaning' consisted of just a change of towels and tea towels no cleaning or bed change! The site is large over 800 plots but it is very well run and maintained and with the addition of the adult only facilities such as swimming pools etc. ensured everybody can have an enjoyable time. The onsite café is fairly well stocked for basics and for a quick meal, Riccardo’s restaurant I will review separately is ok but expensive. We would never visit a caravan park in England but found the people here extremely welcoming and friendly and enjoyed our stay here.

We are so happy you enjoyed your visit, if you ever get the opportunity to return we hope you get to experience a larger unit and the perks of having your own patio to enjoy the Okanangan weather a bit more.

Needed a place to stay while restoration work was being done. Holiday Park was so accommodating and worked with us even on short notice. The condo we stayed in was on the lake side with an excellent view and very spacious. Kitchen was well stocked as far as dishes, pots, utensils, etc so we just needed to bring in our food supplies. TV free and wifi very affordable. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows and blankets and towels for the hot tubs and pools were plentiful. Outdoor bbq's worked well, with utensils. Plenty of green space, hot tubs, pools, even a little golf course. Highly recommend staying here.
