My family and I stayed in one of the condos on the May long weekend From the time we checked in until the time we checked out the staff and the residence of the park made us feel like we were home. The condo was a one bedroom(when we go back again I will book a2bedroom)It was a great unit just like we were home one of the staff even took the time to show us around and she even introduced my children to the painted turtles Thank you to the staff and residents for a great experience.

the internet is at best just like dial up that is when it works the condo smelled funny and its like a ghost town after sun down , this is more of a retirement community than a resort im sure in its day it was great but its past its expiration date........

Room Tip: if you have kids stay away from woodlands rec center the pools are for adults only....my kids found...

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay at our Resort. We have been working on getting a working WIFI system in the Resort, this has been an ongoing challenge for us due to the 67 acre size of our property and the majority of it being leasehold. We do hope you will come again as we have many families who visit our property each year between May and September. The Woodland's Adult Center is indeed an Adult only center; however, we do offer a full size outdoor family pool, hot tub, playground and activity center as well as a family indoor pool and hot tub. The General Manager would be happy to speak with you should you wish to discuss anything with us or provide us with suggestions.

We have been visiting here for 11 years because we had family living here. Sadly, we have watched this place decline every year. We are relieved that we will no longer need to stay here as our family has moved on. The park is in poor repair and generally dirty looking. Lots are not maintained and the resort has definitely lost it's appeal. The beds in the condos have much to be desired, very worn and uncomfortable. Wifi is not free, you must pay as you go. They provide 1 pot of coffee for an entire stay, whether it be one night or more. Would it be too much to ask for a package of coffee for each morning of the stay? You charge as much as a good hotel, but can't manage coffee?

We had travelled a long way, were tired, and needed to stop for the night. So we didn't even question the price - nearly double the cost of equivalent camp grounds in Jasper & Banff. Maybe it's a cultural thing but it seemed that we were the only people walking around the site. The transportation mode of choice was the golf buggy. It put us in mind of a 60's cult UK TV program called The Prisoner.
Staff were friendly and helpful and the site was clean and tidy. But, one night was enough.

We would like to thank you for your feedback and for the compliments towards our staff and our grounds. We are sorry you were unhappy with your stay here. The rate is based on the amount of facilities we have to offer, the quality of our RV sites and the going rate for similar accomodations in the area. We would also like to let you know we do offer discounts throughout the year in the form of BCAA, Good Sam, Coast to Coast, RPI and reciprocals. Also we offer a 25% off discount coupon on our Facebook page should you ever be in the area again.

I'm finally getting around to writing a few words about our stay in July of 2012. We rented a beautifully furnished two bedroom apartment on the ground floor and had a blast for the week we were here. The front desk staff were exemplary in their care and attention of our requests. This resort has seems to have something for everyone - 3 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, hot tubs, lake with a nice sandy beach, canoe rentals, bike rentals, tennis court, basketball court... even a 6 hole golf course... all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. There is only one restaurant on the premises which is open evenings for dinner - but the kitchens are well stocked with pots n pans n appliances. The little store onsite is convenient for picking up small supplies, but I would suggest a quick trip down the highway to Winfield to buy groceries. Daily maid service is available for a fee, but we found the free mid-week clean & tidy was sufficient. During our stay we visited a couple of the vineyards in the area. And there are a number of activities in Kelowna, a 20 minute drive away, for both kids and adults - we went horseback riding. All in all, we had a lovely vacation and would definitely return.

My mom and I spent a week here in mid-November. It was a lovely, peaceful retreat. Our 2 bed/2 bath ground-floor condo was great. It backed onto the quiet lake where we sat by the window reading, watching ducks on the water and quail on the lawn. The fully equipped, large unit lacked only an updated decor. The kitchen was well stocked with all major appliances, equipment and dishes. Being off-season, the resort was quiet and few activities appealed to our youthful interests. The indoor pool and hot tub, however, was enjoyable. We also opted to pay $28 extra for wireless internet. This was well worth it and we could connect up to five devices easily.

We took advantage of some of the local sights - wineries, shopping and spa - all required a drive off site. For us, we wanted a quiet, low-key retreat not far from home - this resort provided that. However, at this time of year, the resort may not appeal to those looking for rousing activities and a lively atmosphere. I suspect things are different in the summer and this would be a great place for families in the summer.

Overall, I would recommend booking this resort considering the following:
1. You must have a car if you plan to leave the resort. Restaurants are within 5-10 minutes and Kelowna is about 15-20 minutes by car.
2. In the off season the amenities and activities that appeal more to retirees.
3. The units are comfortable but not modern - think ruffles, dusty rose and pine furniture. This wasn't important to us, but it may be to some.

This resort seems to have supporters and detractors. Perhaps the latter expected the Grand Okanagan, but its not that kind of place. We had a two bedrooom apartment, right on the lake, with good spa opportunities dotted through the very large resort area, and a small 6 hole golf course. Rooms are very clean, if dated. The surrounding is a lage mobiel home complex, but very well landscaped and maintained. Just go there with your eyes open: it's a very good base for exploring the whole area, adn close to great wineries, like Grey Monk (fantastic food) and avoids the increasingly congested Kelowna town.
