“A real piece of history”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Camping or day tripping at Fintry is a real experience. This provincial park & campground used to be an Estate... the old manor house is still open for tours, the lake side campground is a great place for a picnic & there are waterfalls & trail to hike as well. Something for the entire family .

“Historical Site in Kelowna”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

We did a hike just above the Fintry Manor which is part of the Finty Provincial Park. The manor is very interesting displaying the wisdom of the man who built this place 100 years ago. The tour guide we had was quite awesome and has been a key person in finding furnishing for the home that would have been used so many years ago. The 'trophy room' is amazing and something one should see. The campsite is clean, with large sites and a great beach.

“Tons of mosquitos, decent park, warm lake.”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

When I objectively look back the park is okay. But we left a day early, eventhough we had paid so that says something. It's hot. Very hot. And not all sites have shade. The ones that have shade have bad mosquitos. Very bad. Even the beach has them. The lake is warm. There isn't a lot of sand though and it's rocky. However there is lots of space for dogs to swim. The "outhouses" are actually flush toilets which was a surprise. There is no place to fill up with water or dump your sani. You can get ice and firewood from the hosts but we didn't know that until the next day so we went on a search. If you go toward Vernon there is a true value hardward and a mini mart which has a lot of variety and great prices. Their rotesseri chicken is amazing. It's about 15 minutes from the campsite. Way more variety than the general store going the other way.

“Great Getaway”
Reviewed July 24, 2013 via mobile

We loved this campground, although we unfortunately got the worst site in the park. When I booked, there was only one site left, so I booked it. There was not a single tree or shrub, so it was very hot, but worst than that, because it was right next to the playground, we had people cutting through our site the while time we were there. We will still return there, the hiking and sights were beautiful, the camp hosts were awesome, the beach was alright. I will just be sure to book further ahead than the 7 weeks I did this time. We stayed 4 nights and were able to entertain ourselves.
