This is an amazing experience for anyone, family, single, or riding with friends. it is only 11 km each way to cover the 18 trestles that have been totally restored since the 2003 fire that wiped out 15 of the trestles. The view is spectacular along the trail and trestles and it is very safe. You can also bike to Penticton, about 4 - 5 hours as you need time to explore the ovens built when the trestles were originally built. Don't be afraid to make a donation along the way to help support the maintenance and improvements constantly being done. It is part of the Trans Canada Trail and a visit is a must when you are in the Okanagan.

It's an 80 km trip that is an all day affair & lots of fun - especially as it's all down hill on a railway grade dirt trail. There is a company out of Kelowna that will guide the trip OR you can get a ride back to Kelowna with them called Monashee Adventure tours.
Once you're over the trestles the crowds thin. But there is Chute Lake Lodge where you can stop for lunch. Then outside of Penticton there are wineries to visit - and you should be able to find an ice cream place.
