Biking the trestles of the Myra Canyon is a spectacular way to spend a day or half day in the Okanagan. Myra Canyon Bike Rentals rents bikes right at the entrance to the Myra Canyon Provincial Park. Book your bike online in advance by a day or two to ensure you get a bike. They've got all sizes. A well-run service. Our bikes and helmets were in good condition the bike pickup and drop off was an easy process. Highly recommended!

My husband and I added this to our bucket list of things to do and that was to cycle through the Kettle Valley and see the trestles. We went to the visitor's information centre in Kelowna (very friendly staff and extremely helpful) and asked about cycling through the canyon. We followed her directions and brought us to the canyon where this bike rental was set up. We rented the bikes for two hours and cycled at our own pace and enjoyed the beauty of the canyons, the tunnels and the cool morning air. This is a must see if you are adventurous, the cycle is fairly easy, no steep inclines, it's all gravel road but the serenity is worth it. Pack a lunch and water and picnic on the many spots available.

We went with a 2 year old in a chariot, a 5 year old pedalling himself, 3 older teenagers, 2 adults, and a 70 year old grandmother. All enjoyed themselves. I had done this ride before the fire and thought it would be barren this time around, but it was quite lovely; far more trees and growth than I expected. There were about 18 trestles and two tunnels plus unilmited scenery. The entire ride took us about 2 1/2 - 3 hours of pedalling on almost flat terrain.

Having bike rentals on the hill was great, but be sure to reserve the day ahead of time so you won't have to wait. Picking up and dropping off the bikes was effortless and fairly priced. It was great having bikes right there, ready to go and not hauling anything up and down the hill. The rental place also had some snacks to buy, but we packed our own picnic lunch.

On hotter days you definately want to get there first thing in the morning (9:00 am). HIking is also nice, but we didn't see any hikers who made the full distance and it is worth going all the way around.

There are interesting points of history on the trail, many places to stop and take pictures, have a snack, or sit on a bench and rest.

There is no fee for the park/hike/trail, just for the bike rentals.

We would all go again.

Just came back from kelowna and did the biking at Myra canyon. Spectacular views, amazing experience. It took my sons and I about 2 1/2 - 3 hours to do the 12.5 km round trip. A little harder coming back than going but no big hills so fairly easy to do. You can also rent bikes from two charming young men, Martin and Ryan and they also sell snacks and water or you can bring your own lunch and have a picnic on one of the many benches along the way and enjoy the spectacular views.
