All of the comments about the Okanagan/Kelowna area are very accurate. Unfortunately, the new norm is the smoky haze. We were in Kelowna in the middle of August 2018 and for 2 days we could not see the opposite side of the lake. The view from the Myers Canyon was totally shrouded in smoke. Choosing the dates you visit & the state of the forest fires is very important.

The entire Okanagan Valley is replete with water choices for swimming, boating, viewing or just plain hanging out. Lake Okanagan runs the length of the Valley and is beautiful and (relatively) pristine along its entire length. Recommended!

We live at Lake Chelan in Washington state in the USA and we feel our lake is drop dead gorgeous. But today we drove along Lake Okanagan and had to admit this lake rivals Lake Chelan. Lake Okanagan is truly beautiful. Clinging to it's shores are vineyards, beaches, cities and towns. Just amazingly beautiful from every direction.

We are lucky enough to live 5 minutes from the lake and all the beaches from Kelowna to Penticton. Hotels, B and Bs and resorts within every price range are available in the region.

This large lake extends from Penticton to Nelson! The views are beautiful and the lake is clean. Many public beaches along the lake.

Spent an afternoon at the lake side having coffee, the tranquility is amazing as you stare into the lake you forget all your problems and just take in the breeze and relax. A great place to come and forget your problems and stress.

The romance today was perfect. The sun and the lake plus my wife were truly on point. This boardwalk was perfect.

Plenty of beach, parks, take the family or enjoy solo, the water is breathtaking, if you are qualified rent a boat get on the lake see everything from another view, be careful as the wind can pick up and give a different experience, head south to see the cliff divers near rattle snake island, nice beach in the cove, swimming etc, have a picknick or if you would like cross over to the pier at Peachland, and walk a block to the finest German Gusthaus known, the absolute best schnitzel and beverage that I guarantee you have never had, the atmosphere is over the top, like being at Octoberfest for lunch!, this will not disappoint. Now you will be happy taking the boat back on the lake.

What a beautiful lake nestled between two sets of mountains. Summer has a great deal of boating and sailing

We stayed 3 nights at a condo on yhe lake in late September. The change of seasons provided great color. There are many small towns worth visiting around the lake. The drive is very scenic. It was easy to fill up 3 days of sight seeing and shopping.
