Owner description: The St Hubertus & Oak Bay Vineyards were originally planted in 1928 By J.W. Hughes during a time when agricultural land was plentiful.Since 1984 the Gebert Familys use sustainable farming practices on their 76 acre vineyard to produce wines that reflect the terroir of the north Okanagan Valley under the St Hubertus & Oak Bay Label. In 2003 the Okanagan Mountain Wild Fire destroyed the original winery and over 200 houses.

“Little Winery Nestled in Okanagan Valley.”
Reviewed September 28, 2012 via mobile

St. Hubert's was a small winery nestled in the Okanagan Valley. Although, it's not as impressive as some of the larger local wineries, it does offer some nice wines. The sampling room is small yet quaint and they do showcase a few good selections.

“Rude Staff and Some Rough Wine and One Gem”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

If you know little about wine, like being told what to taste, like that it doesn't correspond to what's in the bottle, and like being served by a server who has too many people to shuffle through and and not a smile for anyone and, oh yeah, if you like red wines that are rough with acids and hard pressings, because they go great with charcoaled steak, by Jove, this is the place for you, BUT, if you also like making a good cheese fondue, they have some whites that are excellent. I wish they would go back to what they were so good at and forget the Big Red game. A little concentration on cool climate whites, especially the early varieties, and they'd be back in their game.

“Well worth the stop!”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

Stopped in for a quick visit and spoke with the "retired school teacher". He was the perfect host! Small winery with great veiws of the valley. We were looking for a sweet summer wine and he recommended the Rose Frizzante. Could have stayed all afternoon. Walked around the property a while, saw where the fire in 2003, destroyed the original winery. Loved our visit!
