On our first visit to Waterfront Wines was nothing short of Excellent! The menu & food are amazing. Every staff member did an outstanding job with service. We will go back for sure. But it isn't cheap. Our bill for 4 of us was $450.00.

“No choice but to rank Excellent”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

After a first visit to any restaurant, one is hesitant to rank it as Excellent.
However, there is no choice - no aspect of our visit to the Waterfront was less than that.
The welcome was sincere, the service outstanding, the food exceptional.
Ryan (in charge) greeted all guests, everyone there was most accommodating.
The prices are not low, but the food and its preparation are worth it.
The ambience is appealing, low volume music so that you can have a conversation, sufficient space between tables to allow privacy.
This will certainly not be our last visit there - and we recommend it.
(mature couple - no special occasion)

“Creativity Galore”
Reviewed July 24, 2014

We frequently go to this restaurant whenever we visit Kelowna, but Tuesday night's dinner was at a whole new level for creativity and excellence. Three of us shared two tapas to start: octopus and calarmari platter, and a beet and chevre salad. Both were beautifully presented with small surprises of tastes accompanying the dishes. My table mates ordered beef shank and lamb shank, both of which they raved about. Although I am not vegetarian, I was intrigued with the waiter's description of Cauliflower Clafouti accompanied by Indian spiced veggies. Our waiter says he often gets hugged by vegetarians after they try this dish because they are so tired of being served vegetarian lasgna and portobella mushroom dishes. Even my meat eating friends agreed the Cauliflower Clafouti was to die for. I may go back just because of this dish. The only downside of the evening was that we had requested the patio but it was full with a large party and so we were seated indoors where we had to lean in closely just to hear each other speak. It was pricey ($230 for three of us with tapas, main course and wine - tip on top) but well worth it.

“Divine food...patio area a bit squished”
Reviewed July 18, 2014

On arrival waitresses all very friendly and mostly quite attentive. Lucky to get a table as there was a cancellation and it was outside which was needed as such a lovely warm evening. Saw it was cancellation as lady updated computer. Main lady seating people was a bit stressed and heard her speaking quite forcefully to waitresses, really no need for this to be heard by customers - she was friendly and full of smiles though. All other people seated outside beside us had reserved. Asked about preferred water, asked for tap, served quickly in a lovely jug.
Drinks order taken and arrived promptly enough. Waitress then proceeded to tell us all about specials - was way too much detail and information, suggest they put this on a piece of paper/ slate or chalkboard. People can't take in all that detail at once! Too much for waitress to remember too, felt bad for them!
We were at a table for 2 opposite door to entrance of place and then there was a big table of american men behind us, they were really close and spoke quite loudly, not their fault however tables too squished so we couldn't help but hear all their conversation and we could barely speak to each other without feeling our voices were raised.
Food - divine! Halibut with coconut rice cakes, gorgeous sauce, feew mushrooms and cauliflower pakora (which the waitress kindly brought out separately as she noticed it was not on the plate). Husband had beef without bone, so tender with sweet potato and potato rosti and some veg, very tasty. Then white chocolate and lemon cheesecake with rhubarb foam and jelly - so beautiful!
All food presented beautifully! Chefs doing an excellent job! Enjoy!
Waitress never said "enjoy your meal" for our main course, although did come and check on us after our first few bites. She did say "enjoy dessert". After dessert asked if we needed anything else, our reply was no, as we had still to finish our coffee and liqueur, then the bill was delivered. Personally I don't like being given the bill without asking for it, we were happy to sit and finish our drink but it felt like they wanted the table again at 9.30pm. A table of 8 men had just arrived so not sure why we were ushered out when we weren't causing any issues. There were already a group of 8 men behind us who had just finished their main course. The waitresses were being so sweet to these 2 groups....obviously more money from these 2 groups than us.
103 dollars was our total.

“Exceptional first visit!”
Reviewed July 16, 2014

Waterfront Wines is indeed one of the best dining experiences we've had in Kelowna - we were seated at an outdoor table, and immediately greeted by our sever, Leigh, who made us feel right at home. Our meal was outstanding, including a delicious appetizer, paired with the featured white wine, Fandango, and then the main course paired with the feature red wine. Our meal wasn't complete without dessert, of course, which we shared - a gluten free hazelnut dessert. Leigh was exceptional, and our overall experience was, like I said, one of the best we've had in K-town. Can't wait to go back!
