“Canadian Chinese at its' best...”
Reviewed August 6, 2011

We go here for a typical Canadian Chinese family meal... it is a bit of a parody.... don't expect authentic Pekinese or HK food (we get that on our trips to HK and Beijing!) This is Westernized Chinese food at its' best, and equivilent to a good Chinese take-away in London.

For a family of 2 adults and 2 children for dinner, we order fried wonton and lettuce wraps for starters, lemon chicken, sweet & sour pork, deep fried chilli beef, bak choy and plain boiled rice.... more than enough (and a doggy bag).

Usually friendly and service is okay (can be a bit slow, especially if busy). We haven't tried the Japanese menu. Not inexpensive but a good place for a noisy family dinner.

“Busy and disappointing”
Reviewed July 13, 2011

We went here because the restaurant was recommended as the best Chinese in town. We asked ourselves how the other ones then might be. This restaurant was far below the level of other Chinese restaurants like we visited at Vancouver. The food was disappointing, nothing special, the service was average and not according to the prices. Yet the place was busy with lot of regulars.

“One of the best places in town!”
Reviewed November 22, 2009

Been going there for maybe 25 years. Amazing that they serve Cantonese, Szechuan and Sushi and other Japanese dishes and do them all well. You can sit a a table or at the sushi bar or have a private tatami room. The liquor is a tad pricey, but the food is all reasonable. I don't like it for lunch because the room has so little natural light, but that's a personal preference and for dinner it is just great. One of my favourite dishes is Yeong Tow Fu (not sure re the spelling) which is cubes of tofu stuffed with prawn & green onion, then deep-fried in a light tempura batter and served with a chili dipping sauce. I one at a whole plateful almost all to myself! (Haven't been there in a while - hope they still have it!)

“terrible”
Reviewed September 7, 2008

My family and I ate at this restaurant in July and it was terrible. The only good thing we had was the lettuce wraps for our appetizer. We ordered three Chinese dishes and they were barely edible. It's been two months since, so I don't remember the details, but I specifically remember that the meat was over-fried and very hard and that the food in general tasted bad. We did not bring home the leftovers. We also noticed other patrons of the restaurant leaving behind half-eaten portions and refusing to package the leftovers.

All in all, the service was good but the food was terrible.
