I am a fairly regular visitor to Cap'n Sharky's. I have probably had lunch here (and at their other, former location across from Canadian Tire in Aberdeen) at least 20 times over the years.
The restaurant is clean, the waitresses have always been friendly and efficient, the service from the kitchen is very fast. The coleslaw which seems to accompany every meal is excellent. The batter on the fish is light and ultra-crispy and holds very little grease. The chips are fresh. The food is HOT when it arrives at the table.
They really do only one thing and that is fish and chips and variations thereof, oysters and chips, prawns and chips, etc., but they do that one thing very well. If you don't want to eat deep-fried seafood and chips, don't come here (although I think they serve rice as an alternative to the chips, but why bother?).
I am giving this place an "Excellent" rating because it does what does so well.
